Hi Hi this is my very first fanfic. I asked myself while reading again The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner "What if Bree stayed with Diego to tell Riley about the sparkly sunlight?"On to the story!

Til Death do Us Part.

Bree's P.O.V

Me and Diego waited until dawn. I grabbed Diego's hand and squeezed, hoping that we will live from what lies ahead of us. We waited then Riley came out of the life-sized gingerbread house. The sun was about showing on the horizon.

"Let's do this," Diego said with fake enthusiasm.

I was still wary, as we followed Riley. About half way from where we went through we stopped Riley. The sun was rising quick, and then we started to sparkle like the walking disco balls we were. Diego and I heard the rustling of leaves, then I realised that we never checked if Riley had been followed by her. Out she came, red hair blowing in the breeze and features like a cat. She had red, glowing eyes and was smiling cruelly at Diego and I. Diego squeezed my hand again and whispered, "I love you Bree."

I stood there shocked and wondered what I thought if I, myself, loved him back. I was quick to think and whispered, "I love you too, Diego."

She smiled and said, "How cute, young love, I'm sorry but this is going to end quick." I wondered what she meant then I finally figured it out, She was going to kill me and Diego! She dragged us back to the small, unrealistic house and ordered Riley to hold us. Diego and I's hands still joined. Diego gave me a sorrow look and I returned the very same look.

She ripped of me and Diego's arms, we shrieked in agony, She stood there smiling as she took out a lighter and burned our limbs. Next she ripped off my leg. I noticed how me and Diego's hands we still in place, holding each other's palms gently. Diego whispered, "I will love you forever Bree."

I repeated to him, "I will love you forever Diego."

We said in unison at the end, "Forever."

After reciting our last and final goodbyes, I love you's and our final words for the rest of our second lives, She burned us then, our hands still intwined.

Riley's P.O.V

I stood in sadness watching one of my greatest companions- after Victoria- burn. Victoria watched without mercy or pity. Through the flames I could make the distinction of Bree and Diego's intwined hands. Losing my friend and brother made me a new Riley Biers. I will no longer show mercy, pity or regret, I will not mourn over my friend and brother.

Victoria's P.O.V

I watched them burn without mercy or pity. If the others of my army found out I would be exposed and killed. My work has been done. I told Riley that he must never let another one know about the sunlight. He happily agreed. I told him instructions and said, "tell them only on 3 upcoming days that the sunlight doesn't hurt vampires. Those are the 3 days you will be able to fight and train outside. Good-Bye my love." I gave him a last-for now- peck on the lips and a goodbye wave. This might be easier than I thought.
