A young girl runs down a hill, wind blows her brown hair as she runs. A white sun dress clothes her fragile frame. As she runs she doesn't pay attention to where she is going and trips over a rock sending her toppling down the hill. She rolls down the hill till she comes to a stop on something soft.

"Kiki, you troublesome girl, get off," a noise said from underneath the small girl.

"Oh sorry Shikamaru, what are you doing here?" Kiki asked as she pushed herself off the boy.

"I was sleeping until you fell on me," came Shikamaru's answer.

"Well sorry, I was just coming back from my grandpa's house," she replied.

"Oh well, you troublesome girl." Shikamaru leaned back into the grass and watched the clouds.

"I'm not troublesome," Kiki argued.

"Yes you are."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Are not."

"See you are too?"

"No, I'm bothersome not troublesome."

"No, you're troublesome, bothersome, dangerous, and a drag," Shikamaru said before going back to watching the clouds.

"Well you're just a lazy meany head," she said as tears started to form.

Shikamaru opened his eyes to look at the girl wondering why she became so quiet. He saw a tear drop fall from her chin which caused him to bolt upright in a heartbeat.

"Hey, don't cry. Please don't cry. I hate it when you cry," Shikamaru tried to soothe pulling Kiki into his chest.

"You always do this," she wept into his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry," Shikamaru apologized as he rubbed her back and ran his hand through her long hair.

"No you're not. You've never cared about me." Kiki sobbed even harder into Shikamaru's shoulder.

"Yes I do. A lot more than you know," Shikamaru whispered into her ear.

"Yeah right," Kiki said whipping some tears away.

"How am I supposed to prove it?" Shikamaru asked trying to figure out the easiest way to show her.

"I don't know, but I don't believe you till you do."

Shikamaru decided what he would do. He lifted Kiki's chin and held her face in his hands. His thumbs ran across her checks whipping away the tears before lowering his lips to hers, pulling her into a passionate kiss. Kiki couldn't help but kiss back.

A few minutes later he pulled away and said, "Do you believe me now?"

"Yes," Kiki breathed out before wrapping her arms around his neck and pulled him into another mind blowing kiss.
