*Who are you?*
*Wizardmon.*
*How are you able to fly like that?*
*Oh… Well…*
And then Gatomon chose that moment to make her appearance and saved me from having to explain it to the child.
I don't if I feel more relieved or disappointed.
It's easy to see why Gatomon hesitated so much before... she's such a sweet girl that I can see it would be hard for anyone with a half a heart to want to harm her. I swear that I can almost feel the aura of goodness moving with her body. And her thoughts are so pure.
Oh, to have grown up with such innocent thoughts! Reading her mind is like wading in a refreshing pond after the filth I've endured with Myotismon's crowd.
We make introductions; they come to conclusions that I had made only minutes earlier: that this was the human partner that Gatomon had been searching for all those years ago.
I am both glad and fearful.
Glad, for now my friend has found her other half so long kept from her.
Fearful, because two halves make a whole and where does that leave one lonely wizardmon?
Oh, I know that Gatomon cares for me. But let's face it---she's a Digi-Destined's digimon now and has a role to fulfill. I, on the other hand, am no one special. I have not the strength to go against Myotismon's power---though I will certainly try my best if these two are in need of help.
But I sense that I will not be allowed to remain by their side much longer. Call it a sixth sense. Call it premonition. Call it my own lowly destiny or simply call it a cloud of depression. **wry grin** I only know what I feel and my feelings tell me that my time with them is short.
My sense of intuition may be sporadic, but I've learned to trust it when it does come.
You see, Gatomon will be digivolving into an angel. I bet you wonder how I know that. **chuckle** Well, I do. I spent many years traveling the different parts of Digital World and you would be amazed at what I picked up.
According to lore, angels and demons are direct opposites and confined to different spheres because of that.
Gatomon is to be an angewomon; Kari is a human angel--- or as close as human flesh can get.
Wizardmon are 'demon man' digimon.
You see the picture?
Fate will simply not *allow* us to meet and interact in that way.
Heaven cannot touch Hell.
The day Gatomon digivolves is the day we will be forced to part company.
These two bright stars will glow while my shadow will fade into greyness.
But it's just as well.
Yes… it's just as well.
And if I keep telling myself that over the years maybe one day I will believe it.
