Notes: Written awhile back for 30_kisses. I wanted to use a different style to write this, something like "stream of consciousness" though it probably didn't work.
Warnings: lots and lots of run-on sentences and misuse of commas
They're training together in the forest when Lee's suddenly behind her and he grabs her, spins her in his arms and takes her hand and they're dancing in the middle of the forest, Lee with an odd grace, Tenten stumbling over her feet as she tries to keep up with him. He dips her low and her head falls back and she's laughing so hard, so loud, so long and her hair is falling out of her buns and he leans over and she feels his lips on her neck before she's bent back too far, loses her balance and falls onto the grass which is thick and soft and she's taken him with her. He lands hard on her and her breath rushes out of her lungs and he's looking at her with such wonder before she shoves at his shoulders, gasping out, "Lee, get off, I can't breathe!" And he looks so dejected, so lost as he sits next to her, suddenly unsure of his actions and she pulls in air sharply and grabs his wrist when he starts to stand. Her thumb finds his pulse under the bandages and it's racing, matching her own and she feels dizzy and warm and something else that feels completely new, something she can't place. When she shuts her eyes she hears him move, and the sun that's shining down on her, making her see patterns behind her eyelids, is blocked and before she can open her eyes to look at him, he's kissing her, softly, slowly and she can't think as her hand on his wrist moves to his chest as the other wraps around his neck, pulling him closer.
Her first kiss is in the forest in the middle of the afternoon, the scene completely different from what she imagined it would be like, but the kiss is more than anything she's ever thought it would be and she can't figure out why she thought it would be anything different.
