Chapter 1
It's Graduation Day at Tree Hill High. Haley is nervously awaiting to give her valedictorian speech that has been the topic of discussion ever since the baby bump became so noticeable and the alleged allegations that her finance Nathan had thrown the state game for money came out. But after all of the hassle Haley got her well-deserved moment after spending countless years to get to the point she was today. I mean come on, balancing not only friend drama of who is dating her best friend Lucas, her parents up and leaving her, the struggles of Dan Scott (enough said), getting engaged and pregnant while keeping a perfect GPA and getting into some of the most prestigious schools, wow she deserves nothing less than to be allowed to give a valedictorian speech in front of the school that she grew up in.
Right as she is about to walk up on stage she feels exactly what she had least expected…. Her water breaks, frozen in shook "Brooke my water just broke!"
"What?! Are you absolutely sure? I know we a have all said that you all of a sudden blew up but you're not due for another 3 weeks" questioned Brooke.
"Oh no I am sure, I don't know what to do. Whose water breaks right before a valedictorian speech? Where is Nathan? How do I get his attention without making a whole ordeal?"
"Okay calm down, everything is going to be fine."
In the background you hear Whitey "Alright before we pass out diplomas, it would be my honor to introduce a young lady who has made her time here at Tree Hill High not only worth her own but also everyone else. She started our growing and successful tutoring center which that alone has increased test scores incredibility. This past year she even managed to juggle being a co-captain of the cheerleading team. Even though her future is unclear, she has been accepted to Harvard and Princeton and we know she will be beyond successful. Without further ado, help me welcome the Class of 2008 Valedictorian, Haley James!"
There is a pause, everyone is looking around and whispering to each other. Nathan wide eyed looking around knowing that something is up. "Uhh our Class of 2008 Valedictorian, Miss Haley James..." Whitey puzzled at the situation.
The crowd could hear the commotion behind the curtain of the auditorium. All of a sudden you see Brooke stumping up the stairs to the stage and heading straight to the mic.
"Sorry, I know everyone is expecting to see Haley up here giving a speech but at this moment right now Haley is actually expecting! She apologizes but Nathan its time!"
Nathan stands up and bolts the back of the auditorium where he runs to the back to find Haley.
"Haley, is this for real? Are you 100% sure?" You could see the panic in Nathans face.
"Yes, I promise. The contractions are real. WE NEED TO GET TO THE HOSPITAL"
They burst through their high school doors where Brooke has a car waiting. She jumps out and Nathan skids off.
Once they get to the hospital they are immediately rushed into a room. After 30 minutes of contractions the doctor comes in and announces that it is time. You could see the panic and excitement in Nathan and Haley's faces. They just ran out of their high school graduation to give birth to their child. Well so they thought….
