This story was written for ShmabbyThe Strange for the June 2016 Monthly Fic Exchange :) The prompts I used were (genre) romance, (dialogue) "Kiss for luck?" / "In your dreams." and (pairing) WolfStar. I hope you like it! xx

"Padfoot, you know that you're going to get kicked out of the restaurant, right? I don't think Madame Puddifoot allows dogs," Remus Lupin said, looking down at his friend, Sirius. Sirius was currently in his animagus form of a dog.

Sirius raised a doggie eyebrow. "Are you sure, Moony? It's too much work to change back right now," he said with a yawn.

"Yes, I'm sure. It's called proper etiquette, Padfoot. Plus, why did you have to change into your animagus form in the first place? We were already in Hogsmeade by the time you transformed."

"Because… I felt like it?" But Sirius had finally given into Remus's voice of reason, and transformed back into a human with a sigh. "You know, I would have loved to be carried by you to our date as a dog," he said with a wink.

Remus couldn't resist a small laugh. "You already know my answer to that. In case you didn't, it's 'absolutely not.'"

There was a small moment of silence between the two of them. "Hey Moony, how do think this one's going to react to us being boyfriends?" Sirius asked, unusually quiet.

For once, Remus was stumped. "I honestly don't know. We can hope that they won't blink an eye, though."

"Kiss for luck?"

"In your dreams, Padfoot."

"Well, maybe I am dreaming."

"... Come on, we're going to be late."

As the two seventh-years entered Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shop, the door shut closed behind them with a musical chime of the bells.

"A table for two, please," Remus told the lady up in the front. She took a long look at Sirius, squinting her eyes. The student in question was currently already sprawled out along a wall, and tapping his fingernails loudly on the wall. His attire was also not very suited for a romantic date.

She also had apparently noticed that they were two blokes. "... Are you certain? Are you waiting for some other people?" she asked, coughing slightly.

While Remus blushed scarlet and started to stutter quietly, Sirius chose this moment to speak up again. "Yes, we're certain. And yes, I'm a bloke. Moony's a bloke. He's my boyfriend and we're on a date. So? Learn to deal with it, lady," he said before leaning back against the wall again. "Are you going to lead us to our table, miss?"

Stripped of her words, the lady nodded with wide eyes and lead the way through the tea shop to a table right next to the window. As soon as she could, she scurried away.

"Thank you for that back there, Padfoot. I think you might have scared the poor lady quite a lot, though," Remus said, starting to smile with cheeks still faintly red.

"You're very welcome, Moony," Sirius said, taking a mock bow that sent Remus into laughter. "You owe me a favor now, you know."

Remus sighed. "Come on, Padfoot, can't you do something nice for your boyfriend without me having to reciprocate it in a favor?"

"Hm… No."

"Please?"

"Come on, Moony, just do me one favor and then I won't bother you about it any more. Please?"

Remus sighed and put his head in his hands. "We both know that's a lie, Padfoot, but fine. Just tell me what the favor is."

But Sirius didn't respond with words. At once the two of them were pulled into prolonged kiss.

"That's the favor I wanted," Sirius said, winking. "What better place to kiss my boyfriend than a romantic date in Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shop?"
