Alex zipped open his tent in his new apocalyptic home it was few miles out of Atlanta the Atlanta sun rose, was so bright it was just enough to sunbathe in he saw the group up and about "morning, Alex". Said Shane he was being sarcastically.
"O it afternoon" said Alex. He slept in no one woke him up it had been a weird few months since the death of the world.
"Where my mum and pa? " said Alex. "By the Quarry pond" said Carl.
"Yes thank you, where Daryl and Merle Dixon?" said Alex.
"Andrea, Glenn, Morales, Jacqui-have got into Atlanta along with Merle". Said Liz.
"Okay then is there anything for me to do? " asked Alex. Itching for a line of work to contribute to the group.
"Um, Dale need a hand with the RV he says the fan-belt been playing up". Said Shane.
Alex took there tools from the toolbox he got screwdriver, bolts. It was a very quiet hour the kids were drawing or playing, Shane was Chopping some wood; when he found out something on his CB radio.
"hello" said Amy
"Is, that a voice? " asked Alex. It was a first time in a long time that he heard a voice on that blasted thing; they attempted to warn people to stay away from, Atlanta but sometimes it was still not enough.
"come on son you know how it use that thing" said Dale.
"This deputy former sheriff Shane Walsh, can you hear me" said Shane. The was pure silence on the wireless.
"Try, boosting up the signal, works, in video-games" said Alex.
"This not Video-game someone going to the toughest place on earth right now" said Shane.
"Only a suggestion" said Alex.
"Quite a lousy one"stated Jim.
*Later on*
Alex drew his gun and hid it under his shirt he was going to do this very quietly there was dark, clouds over Atlanta, the others where still not back yet it was going be a difficult call to make but he had no choice; he was tired of praying for hope, he was scared of it death to.
Lori saw Alex walking into the woods he was hiding something all right, she follow him till he watched him pulling a gun out of the holder.
"What are you doing!" Said Lori.
"Non of your god dam business women!" Said Alex.
"Pass me your gun till you can be a responsible adult" said Lori.
"I am it my choice okay not yours" said Alex. Lori looked horrified by his revealing
"But why? " said Lori.
"Okay i, will, tell you". Said Alex.
*Flashback*
"My fellow American citizens people of the world i just, received some startling reports of the undead raising and coming to kill us that is true; we place up this emergence broadcast to tell you all that we put a safe zone in Atlanta, there will be food, protection, but please my fellow Americans in these crazy week months and years head..." There was a cut from the line.
"We should go, pack your stuff we head in five Clair, okay" she nodded in respect in his judgment but will it be a secure one.
*back in the camp*
Lori commented that there was a slight bond with her son and Alex she was hoping that the kids might give something for Alex to focus on he needed something to distract him then death she knows about his terrible secret but she was afraid that it might just come back to haunt him.
