This story is placed in terms of Michelle and Tony's relationship directly after season 2. In terms of Jack's life, directly after season 4. NCIS is not in any peticullar part of the season.
CTU:
Tony sat in his chair thinking about the days events. George Mason had died, Michelle had admitted how she felt about him, and in return he told her the same thing. They had kissed, and Carrie had been a pain in their asses. Tony could now see Michelle walking up the stairs to his office. She stopped outside the door, and Tony signaled her to come in.
"Hey, I just thought I'd let you know, the new shift is here, they've been briefed, and are working efficiently." Michelle informed Tony.
"Good, how are you holding up?" Tony asked.
"As good as I can be," Michelle replied, shrugging her shoulders.
Tony nodded, understanding, he decided that he was going to take a chance, "Michelle,"
"Yeah," She responded.
"I know you're probably tired, we've been working non stop for twenty-four hours," Tony started, realizing he was rambling, he decided just to say it, "Do you want to go out for coffee or something?"
Michelle smiled, and Tony knew what she was going to say, "I would love that," she replied, "Let me just go get my stuff,"
"I'll be down in like five minutes," Tony replied.
"See you then," Michelle responded, walking out of his office with a smile on her face.
Tony was smiling while he was shutting down his computer. While he was walking down from his office, he noticed Carrie standing at the bottom of the stairs. He sighed and continued to walk down the stairs.
"Hey, Tony," Carrie said, with a devilish smiled on her face.
"Carrie," Tony replied, aggravated, "What do you want?"
"Well, I know that we have been working really hard today, but I was wondering if you wanted to go out and get coffee or something with me?" Carrie asked him.
"No," Tony simply replied continuing to walk on.
"Wait, what are you doing?" Carrie asked, she saw Michelle waiting for Tony, "You're going out with her?"
"Yes, and that's really none of your business," Tony replied to her, turning around and looking at her.
"I can't believe you, all she's trying to do, is get a promotion out of you," Carrie informed him, "and you would think, after what happened with Nina, you wouldn't date a co-worker."
"Well, you're a co-worker, so, that would mean, it would be a mistake for me to date you, and that will never happen, goodbye, Carrie," Tony said to her, turning around and walking toward Michelle.
When he reached Michelle, she looked worried, "What was that about?"
Tony shook his head, with a disgusted look on his face, "She wanted to go out and get coffee with me,"
"I hate her," Michelle replied, feeling Tony's hand on her back.
"Yeah, I'm really surprised I haven't fired her yet," Tony responded, walking out into the parking garage with Michelle, "here, why don't we worry about your car later, I'll drive,"
"OK," Michelle responded, getting into Tony's car.
Tony walked around the car and got in, "I know a nice little coffee place about ten minutes from here, is that OK?"
"Yeah, it's fine," She replied.
Tony started driving.
NCIS (Washington D.C.):
"We have a new agent on our team today, she's transferring from NCIS LA," Agent Gibbs informed his team.
"Really?" Agent Anthony DiNozzo asked his boss.
"Yes, we do, so let's welcome her with a nice warm NCIS welcome." Gibbs said to his team.
Tony looked at his teammate, Agent McGee, sitting at his desk, "Did his just tell us to be nice?"
"I... I... Think he did, Tony," McGee replied to Tony.
"Something is definitely wrong," Tony said to McGee.
"Yup," He responded, and then turned his attention to Gibbs, "Boss, when is she going to be here?"
Gibbs didn't answer him, knowing the new agent was on her way up. The elevator dinged, and the doors opened. A very attractive women stepped out of the elevator. She was wearing a pair of black heels, and a gray skirt with a light pink dress shirt, and a gray jacket that matched the skirt.
"Hello, are you Special Agent Gibbs," The attractive women asked.
"Yes, and you must be Special Agent Emily Almeida," Gibbs responded, shaking her hand.
"That would be correct," Emily responded, and then turned to the very attractive male that was standing behind Gibbs.
"Hi, I'm Very Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, but you can call me Tony," Tony told her, shaking her hand.
"Well, Tony, I'm Emily," She responded, and then turned to McGee.
"And you are?" Emily said to him, politely.
"Special Agent Timothy McGee," He said shaking her hand.
"Well, McGee, it's good to meet you," Emily said, looking to Gibbs who had just hung up his phone, "What would you like me to do first?"
"Well, you can grab your gear, we've got a missing marine." Gibbs told her, seeing McGee and DiNozzo grab their gear.
"OK," Emily said, setting her purse down on the desk across from Tony's. She grabbed her black backpack, and her NCIS jacket. She holstered her weapon, and followed the team out of the building.
LA:
"Thanks," Tony said to the man behind the counter, as he handed him some money, and took the change, and his coffee. Michelle had her coffee in her hand.
"You didn't have to buy me coffee," Michelle told him.
"I wanted to," Tony told her, sitting down across from her at a table.
Michelle sighed, and took a sip of her coffee.
"You ok?" Tony asked her.
"Yeah, I'm just glad that this day is over," Michelle admitted.
"You're not the only one," Tony told her, sweetly.
"I know, it just, it kills me to see all of those people dead, I mean I love my job, but sometimes it just gets to be too much for me," Michelle told him.
"I know what you mean, and you would think that after all of this, you would just want to go home, probably sleep, since we've been up for twenty-four hours straight, but truthfully, the last place I want to be is at home," Tony admitted to Michelle, and she couldn't believe that he was feeling that way, she was feeling exactly the same way.
"I totally get what you mean, that was why I was so happy when you asked me for coffee, because the last thing I wanted to do was go home and be alone, and you make me happy," Michelle admitted to him, hoping he wouldn't take it the wrong way.
Tony smiled as Michelle continued, "When I'm with you, it just seems like the rest of the world doesn't matter, all that matters is me and you, I know that sounds really weird..."
"No, no, no," Tony interrupted her, "I totally understand what you're feeling, I feel the same way."
"Really?" Michelle asked.
Tony moved his hand to holding onto hers, "Yes, Michelle, today was crazy, and believe it or not, all I could think about was you, so, when you say that when were with each other the rest of the world doesn't matter, I totally understand what you're saying, I mean, there was a nuclear bomb in LA, and all I could think about was kissing you, and then when you kissed me, I didn't really care if the bomb went off, as long as, if you were killed, I was too, I don't know what I would do without you."
Michelle smiled, and gave Tony's hand a gently squeeze, "I can't believe you understand what I'm saying, it sounds so weird, I mean, you're my boss, and..."
"Let's just forget about the whole boss things, when were outside of work, it's just Tony and Michelle," Tony told her, hoping she would go along.
"Sounds good to me," She responded.
The both enjoyed their coffee and made small talk.
Washington D.C.
The NCIS team stepped out of the large NCIS van, and met with the Marine's CO.
"Here, this is Petty Officer Frank Flynn's file." The CO said to the team, handing Emily a file.
Emily opened up the file, and looked at the picture, she stopped in her tracks for a moment, staring at the photo. Tony looked over her shoulder at the file.
Gibbs gave them an order, "DiNozzo, Almeida, get back to NCIS, I want all the information I can get on this guy,"
"Got it boss," DiNozzo replied, getting into the black company vehicle that Gibbs had driven to the scene.
Emily got into the car in the passenger seat and looked down at the photo once more, confirming who it was. She decided that she wasn't going to DiNozzo, but when she got back to NCIS she had to make a phone call.
"So, have you decided where you like better yet, DC or LA?" Tony asked her trying to make small talk.
"Well, DC definitely has cuter agents," Emily said to Tony, hoping that he would pick up what she was putting down.
"Really?" Tony looked at her smiling.
"Definitely, there were no agents in LA as good looking as you, I'll just say that," Emily said to him.
"Well, in DC we've never had agents has beautiful as you, what made you decide to be an agent anyway?" Tony asked, curiously.
"My brother is a federal agent, in LA, that what made me decide to be an agent, I chose NCIS because they have no connections to my brothers agency, I mean, I love my brother, but I wouldn't want to work with him, ever," Emily admitted to him.
"Where does your brother work?" Tony asked her.
"He works at CTU LA." Emily informed him.
"CTU? Never heard of it," He admitted to her.
"That's what most of them at CTU say about NCIS," She told him.
"Yeah, I would believe it, us NCIS agents, so well known," Tony said to her sarcastically.
Emily smiled, and looked through the file once more, before arriving at NCIS. Tony pulled the car into the parking garage, and got out, and went to the elevator, Emily right behind him.
When they stepped out of the elevator at the team room, Emily excused herself, "I have to go make a phone call, I'll be right back."
Tony nodded, and walked to the team room.
LA:
Tony opened the door on the passenger side for Michelle, and she climbed in. He shut the door, and went over to the driver's side, before he opened the door, his cell phone rang. He got into the car, and answered his cell phone.
"Almeida," He answered the phone, while putting the key into the ignition and starting the car.
"We have a problem," Emily told her brother, although he didn't know it was her.
"Excuse me, who is this?" Tony asked politely, looking at Michelle.
"Haven't you ever heard of caller ID, it's your sister," Emily replied aggravated.
"Oh, hey, Emily," Tony said to her, "What's the problem?"
Michelle heard another girl's name, and became jealous for a moment, but, then realized it was his sister, she had worked with Emily once before, she was a very nice girl, in her opinion.
"How many people know Jack Bauer is alive?" Emily asked her brother.
"Emily! You know you're not supposed to talk about that!" Tony scolded her sister.
"I know, but here in DC, we just got a file on a missing marine, and the picture looks an awful lot like Jack, the marines name is Frank Flynn, isn't that his alias?" Emily asked her brother.
"Damn," Tony swore under his breath, "Why is he missing?"
"We don't know yet, but it probably has something to do with the fact that he faked his own death, just saying," Emily replied to her brother, hearing footsteps, she looked around the corner, seeing Tony coming, she quickly ended the conversation, "One of my co-wor..." She said quietly, when Tony was close enough to hear, she changed her tone of voice and pretended she was on with a colleague, "Yeah, you know that thing we talked about before, we really need to get that figured out, I will talk to you later, I've got to get back to work,"
"Em... Don't ha..." Tony was cut off by his sister hanging up her phone.
"What was that about?" Michelle asked curiously, sensing something was wrong.
"Oh... Em works at NCIS, she just got transferred to DC, her first case is a missing marine, Frank Flynn, sound familiar?" Tony asked Michelle, putting the car in gear, and pulling out onto the street.
"Frank Flynn?" Michelle asked him confused, shaking her head, with a thinking look on her face, trying to recall the name, "Wait... isn't that Jack's alias?"
"Yeah, we have a huge problem," Tony told her, driving down the road toward CTU.
"We're going back to CTU?" Michelle asked.
"Yeah, first we need to get your car, and then we should call Chloe and get her to meet us somewhere," Tony told her.
"Don't worry about my car, we can get it later, we just need to call Chloe and get her to meet us..." Michelle said, waiting for a location.
"Have her meet us at my apartment," Tony said, scribbling down the address on a napkin that was found on the dashboard.
"Ok," Michelle replied, pulling out her cell phone, dialing Chloe's number.
She heard the dial tone, and then Chloe's answering machine.
"She didn't answer, Tony, do you know where she lives?" Michelle asked him frantically.
"No, do you have a laptop on you?" Tony asked her curiously.
"Yeah, why?" Michelle asked, pulling her laptop out of her bag.
"Can you access the CTU network wirelessly?" He asked her.
"Um... I can certainly try, not promising anything though," Michelle said, opening up her laptop, and typing quickly on the keyboard.
"Well, it's worth a try," Tony told her.
"Here, I can access some of the stuff on the CTU network, personnel files included, here's Chloe's," Michelle said, clicking on a file.
"Um... Here's her address," Michelle said, scribbling the address down on the napkin Tony had written his on.
"Cool... Thanks... let's go check it out." Tony said, taking a left at the next road.
NCIS:
"Hey, what was that about?" Tony asked Emily, curiously.
"Nothing, just tying up some loose ends in LA, what's up?" Emily asked him, hoping he would buy her lie.
"Um... Gibbs just called us, he wants us to follow a lead, there out checking out Flynn's apartment, he wants us to go talk to his roommate, Hank Yeller," Tony replied to Emily.
"Ok, I'll meet up with you in the parking garage, I'll be down in like five minutes, cool?" She asked him.
"Sure," Tony replied, hesitantly.
"Thanks, see you in a minute" Emily replied, turning toward the ladies' room.
She walked in and checked her hair and make-up, did her business, and walked out of the room. She felt someone grab her from behind, put something over her mouth, and then all there was, was darkness.
LA:
Tony and Michelle reached Chloe's apartment building.
"Apartment number 372," Michelle told Tony.
"Alright, let's go," Tony said, opening the door to the staircase.
Tony and Michelle reached the third floor, and followed the numbers until they found 372.
Tony knocked on the door, "Chloe,"
There was no response.
"Chloe, it's Tony," He said, still no response.
Tony drew his gun, and Michelle did the same, Tony picked the lock, and opened the door. They immediately saw Chloe lying on the floor, unconscious. Michelle rushed over to her, and checked her pulse, "She's just unconscious."
Tony let out a sigh of relief. He remembered hearing someone creeping up behind him, and heard Michelle scream. He felt a strong blow to his head, and remembered hitting the floor. Before he passed out, he remembered hearing Michelle's scream, silenced, and then he gave in to the blackness.
I'm not sure whether or not to continue the story, please tell me if you would like to read more about this. Thanks! :)
