"Don't go changing, you're perfect the way you are."
Those words kept ringing in her head like broken bells. The clothes, the shoes, the jewellery, the make-up was all beginning to get a bit too much. She didn't want to pretend to be somebody she wasn't. She wasn't the spoiled princess who always did as she was told. No! That wasn't her.
The girl that he wanted her to be was tearing them apart because she was everything that she was not. She couldn't take the pretence anymore. This ended now. She was going to let her life be ruled by a failing relationship barely hanging on by the threads.
She sat on their bed: bags packed ready to move on with her life. Now all that was left to do was break the news to him. Just as she was thinking of a way to break it to him she heard the door shut. Her bags were in the living room so that should at least let him know that something was going on.
"Sakura are you home?" He called out,
"I'm here Sasuke." She said her voice as soft as silk. Something she hated. But that's exactly how he wanted her to speak. Talk about demanding much.
"What's going on? Why are your bags packed? Are we going on a surprise vacation that I don't know about?" He asked.
"No Sasuke, I'm leaving you. i'm not going to give you the whole it's not you it's me speech. because quie frankly it is you. It has always been you. Wanting to me this tamid little princess that you parade around in front of your friends like some kind of trophy. I don't want to pretend so this is the end of you and me."
"But I love you." He said, his eyes pleaded with her to understand. It was breaking her heart but she had to do this for her own sanity.
"No you're not. You're in love with the idea of me being perfect. But the truth is I'm all messed up because of you." She said firmly, steeling every ounce of resolve she had left.
"Sakura please." He begged.
"I'm sorry Sasuke, but ths is what's best for me. We need a permanent break. goodbye Sasuke." She said and walked out of his life for good.
