"Say good bye to your son Goku because you're never going to see him again" Raditz said as he climbed into his space pod with Gohan tucked under his arm and all Goku could do was watch helplessly. As the pod door shut Goku desperately tried to move so he could kill that monster and take his son back but his body didn't seem to co-operate so all he could do was listen to his son agonising screams as the pod got further and further away until all that was left was a faint white streak.
Goku collapsed onto his hands and knees, tears began to stream down his face but he didn't care all he registered was that his baby boy was gone and he would never see him again just the thought made his heart break.
He didn't know how he was going to live without him Gohan was his everything.
Goku sat straight up his chest heathing as he tried desperately to catch his breath, sweat poured down his face mingling with his tears. His heart still racing he jumped out of bed making sure not to disturb his wife and quickly padded towards where his son was sleeping once he was at his destination he gently opened the door trying not to wake the sleeping child that lay behind it. He just needed to know that his baby was safe and that everything was okay, so when he caught site of an empty bed with the covers strewn on the floor he began to panic.
The only thought going through his head was where was he?. He ran through the house at top speed but when he couldn't find him in the house he stopped to calm his self once he was as calm as he could get In this situation he tried to sense Gohans ki and was relieved to find it just out side.
Opening the front door he carefully slid outside and immediately spotted the little figure curled up against the dome wall of the house, Goku felt relief sweep over him and he slowly approached the figure so not to surprise him. Sitting down next to Gohan he cleared his throat which caught the boys attention and then Goku gently lifted him up and placed him in his lap he then proceeded to wrap his arms around the now shivering boy.
Resting his chin on top of gohans head he inhaled the lovely sent his son possessed and felt a wave of protectiveness sweep over him. He wasn't sure how long they had just sat out there with him staring into the night sky but he was sure it was time to go back in when his son shifted and clung to him tighter which of course made Goku sneeze because of his sons unruly black spikes tickling his nose. Carefully he lifted Gohan into his arms and moved silently into the house, he then started to make his way towards his sons bedroom but he found that when he got there his heart wasn't going to let him let go of this child any time soon so he lay down on the bed and covered them both with the blanket.
With his arms securely round Gohan he found himself able to sleep with no nightmares because he new Gohan was safe in his arms and he would not let any one take his child with out a fight and that was a promise and he made a note to talk to Gohan about what he was doing outside at such a time but for now he left it because both them were enjoying the company.
