I watched Gilmore Girls for the first time on Netflix and I have to say my favourite part of the show is Luke and Lorelai's relationship with him. They are one of the best couples ever.

"It's like… it's not even real to me it's like my life… isn't even real to me unless you're there and you're in it and I'm sharing it with you. And, uh I don't know what I was waiting for I don't know what I was scared of but I'm not scared and I'm not waiting, I'm here." In the dream, Luke had poured his heart out to Lorelai, just like what really happened. The only thing that was different was that she didn't sleep with Christopher. She said: "Luke, you really mean that?" And he said: "Yes, marry me now. I'm ready. I love you." Lorelai just nodded and ran off the steps into his waiting arms. "I love you too, Luke. Always… but we have to work it out this time. We have to communicate better." He pulled her close and whispered in her ear: "I agree." Lorelai stepped out of his embrace and Luke leaned in to give her a deep, long kiss. They pulled apart, and Luke said: "Come on, let's go get married." Lorelai smiled and Luke put his arm around her and led her to his truck.

Luke woke and sat up in his bed. He felt tears in his eyes. Ashamed that he would cry, he quickly wiped his eyes with his arm. Then he reached for his blue baseball hat which was sitting on the bedside table. He stared at the hat, flashed back to when Lorelai gave it to him, then threw it across the room. He was outraged that Lorelai would do this to him. But at the same time, he missed her and he still loved her with everything he had.

The next morning he found an old black baseball hat and he decided to wear it.
