She stands in her doorway watching him.
The muscles in his legs rippling as he runs, green eyes turned to the football rotating in the sky behind him. His lean torso lengthening when he reaches upward, plucking it from thin air and pulling it tightly against his broad chest. The sweat beading at his hairline then slowly sliding down his chiseled face. Her breath catches when he glances in her direction and winks.
"Margaret, darling, are you alright?"
She closes her eyes at his words and turns to face the man she wishes she hadn't chosen.
"Yes, Frank. I'm fine."
