Disclaimer- I do not own HP or the amazing song "I'll Love You." Those honors go to JKR and Overflow, respectively. Although Overflow did give me permission to use it, as long as I'm not making money. Which I'm not. I'm poor. Too bad for me.

PS- I wrote this a LONG time ago-

I'll Love You

He finally did it.

After eight years of fighting, he finally did it.

Harry Potter, the boy who lived, killed Voldemort.

There had been singing, dancing in the streets. People joyously celebrated You-know-who's death.

But one person wasn't celebrating.

Harry Potter, savior of the Wizarding world, was now an outcast.

Ginny Weasley was a casualty of the final battle, with the blame mostly being laid on Harry. He was expelled from the British wizarding world and they said the only reason he wasn't in Azkaban was because he killed Voldemort.

You say you're falling apart/ reached the end of the line/ just looking for your place/ in an ordinary life

Harry thought that Hermione or maybe Ron would stick with him. After all, they'd been best mates for eight years. They left, just like all the others.

No one calls you friend/ no one even knows your name/ you just want to feel loved/ instead of all the pain

Just like all but one. Nymphadora Tonks watched as Harry dragged himself into No. 4 Privet Drive and up the stairs into his room… As soon as he got there, he collapsed on the bed and started to do something he hadn't done since Sirus died.

He cried.

He was too distraught that his best friends had left him at the drop of a hat to notice the purple haired woman come in and close the door.

You no longer have to say/ "No one's listening, anyway"

She touched his shoulder and he spun around, ready to defend himself against a rogue Death Eater. But when he saw her...

"Tonks..." His voice broke. "Oh T-Tonks, everyo-everyone left me. Even Ron and Herms."

"Shhh, I'm here."

Come here and cry on my shoulder/ I'll hold you 'till it's over/ I'll rescue you tonight/

She was so angry at them, for making Harry feel like this. Making him feel loved and right after he had served his usefulness to them, they kick him out like a stray animal.

Let my arms be your shelter/ your hiding place forever/ I'll love you more than life

She looked at the boy, no, never a boy again, not after what he went through just before he finished the monster off; she looked at the man in front of her; his eyes were red and blotchy, his cheeks, tear-stained.

You're wearing a frown/ given up on hope/ my heart is reaching out/ more than you will ever know

"Harry, I'll never leave you, got that? Forget the others. If they just left you for this, they weren't really great friends were they? Just forget them for now. I'm here."

Is your burden too much/ is it more than you can bear/ I'll help carry the load/ if you're willing to share

"I'm always here for you to talk to, okay Harry?"

You no longer have to say/ "No one's listening, anyway"

"Thank- Thank you so much Tonks."

They embraced tightly, and for that one small moment, Harry forgot his troubles, and just enjoyed the warmth of Tonks's arms.

Let my arms be your shelter/ your hiding place forever/ I'll love you more than life

"You want to talk about it a little?"

"Well, it all started at the end of the last battle. I had fought my way to Tom when he used this spell that caused me to black out. It wasn't like the Imperious… it was a more complete control… But when I woke up, he was laughing at me and I was standing over Ginny's dead body… Then I heard the shouts of 'Murderer' and 'How could you?' It all drove me into such a frenzy that I blacked out again, only to wake up this time standing of Tom, finishing the last syllable of the killing curse."

For a little while longer, Harry described to Tonks how it felt when his friends didn't believe him, deserted him…

The tears of pain are falling down/ it hurts so bad you're crying out/ the problems won't last forever/ let me put you back together

At the end of his tale, Tonks embraced the young man again, putting every ounce of passion she had into it.

Come here and cry on my shoulder/ I'll hold you 'till it's over/ I'll rescue you tonight/

Let my arms be your shelter/ your hiding place forever/ I'll love you more than life

I'll love you more than life.

"Harry?"

"Yeah Tonks?"

"I've always loved you."

"I love you too, Tonks. Thank you…"

"Happy to do it Har… Happy to do it."
