Hi there! This is my first fanfiction story ever so I apologize if it's just awful! Gomen!
I also apologize if the two seem out of character. I tried my hardest to keep them in character as best as I could. Izaya is quite the challenge for me but I shall work on it!
Please have fun reading! *bows politely*
Shizuo Heiwajima, the fortissimo of Ikebukuro, made his way down the dark sidewalk after a long day of work. He had his fists clenched tightly at his sides as he walked quickly, hoping that maybe the cool night air would help to cool him down. He made sure he took less populated routes on his way back to his apartment to avoid running into anyone or any flea that would possibly piss him off more.
His work with Tom today was the worst it's been in a while. No one wanted to pay up on their loans so he had to use violence every time. It took so long getting everything situated this time, that it was almost one in the morning. He felt exhausted. Meaning he was definitely not in a good mood. He was tired and angry and just wanted to get home, have a tall glass of milk and go to sleep without any more problems.
Shizuo could feel himself starting to relax a bit as he drew nearer and nearer to his home. He let out a long breath, knowing that nothing could possibly interfere with him now. He was so close to salvation and his precious milk. That's when he caught a whiff of it. That horrid stench that clung to that wretched insect. He growled as he picked up the pace; too exhausted to pick a fight now. Quite frankly, he had had enough for one day.
"Well that's new Shizu-chan." the fleas mocking voice rang in his ears. Shizuo growled again as he mentally reminded himself that all he wanted right now was his bed and a glass of milk. Not a fight with the stupid flea.
"Shizu-chan doesn't want to play tonight?" Izaya mused, walking next to him as if they were best friends.
"PISS OFF!" Shizuo snapped, swinging his fist at the damn louse. So much for making it home calmly. Izaya jumped back out of the way and smirked as he drew his flickblade.
"That's much better!" he breathed out in amusement as he dodged another one of Shizuos angry punches.
"What the hell do you want, flea?! Get outta my face!" Shizuo roared as he tore up a street sign from the asphalt and swung it at his enemy.
"I just want to play a bit Shizu-chan! Today has been so boring, ne?" Izaya replied, leaping out of the way as the sign swung toward his head. He laughed a bit as Shizuo began to get more aggressive with his attacks.
Then the familiar chase began. Shizuo growled with absolute animosity as Izaya mocked and teased him, throwing his knives every so often. When one of them happened to graze Shizuos cheek, the blonde didn't even flinch. Izaya stopped and glared at him while they both caught their breath. They stood illuminated by a street lamp, staring daggers at each other. Shizuo, with his eyes full of malicious intent, stood clutching onto a vending machine, ready to rip it from the rough sidewalk it was bolted to. Izaya stood a few feet in front of the large post of an old billboard sign with his back to it, smirking. He was still clutching his switchblade and held it out, pointed at Shizu-chan.
"Well this has been fun and was just the exercise. I needed for today. Thank you so very much, Shizu-chan, however this is where we part ways." Izaya's smirk morphed into an obviously fake smile as he turned to dash off down the ally way next to him.
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOIN'?!" Shizuo roared as he ripped the vending machine free of it's confinement and sent it sailing toward the informant. The raven haired flea merely stepped to the side as the machine collided with the post behind him. A loud crack was heard and Izaya turned to realize the vending machine had completely ripped through the post and wood was now splintered all over the ground. He glanced back at the blond haired monster who stood panting heavily, like the inhuman animal he was.
"Now how are you going to pay for that on your poor salary, hm?" Izaya chuckled, "You're as dumb as they come, Shizu-chan."
Shizuo let out a rather beastlike growl and charged the informant. Izaya stood still, taunting him, ready to move at the last minute when an extremely large shadow overtook him. He glanced up as the billboard sign had given way to gravity after losing it's only other post that was holding it up. The sign was now making it's merry way down to earth.
It all happened in slow motion to Izaya. Shizuo had closed the gap considerably quickly between them and had obviously not noticed the falling sign due to his idiocy. In Izayas distraction at the large shadow overtaking him, he had forgotten to move and just as Shizu-chan had went in for his attack, the sign had made contact with the two. Izaya felt himself falling backward as loud and deafening crashes were heard all around him. His head made rough contact with the concrete beneath him, causing his vision to blur up into one big dot. He kept blinking his eyes to try and clear up his vision and couldn't hear anything thanks to the loud rining in his ears. He felt numb and wondered what kind of injuries he sustained. He coughed as some feeling was coming back to him and his vision began to clear up so he could just barely make out the shape of a figure looming over him. Shizu-chan? Why would Shizu-chan be on top of him? Then he got it. Shizu-chan was a monster after all, the falling sign probably didn't even phase him and he was taking advantage of Izaya's discombobulated state to finish him off for good. Izaya smirked at the irony of it. He never would have imagined this was how he'd go. He couldn't feel much of anything so he couldn't fight back; he felt helpless and he hated it. He glared at the blurry state of the blond above him.
"Ngh," he heard Shizu-chan grunt. He sounded extremely out of breath and he seemed in pain. Izaya shook his head slightly as his vision gradually went back to normal and the ringing in his ears had finally faded. His eyes widened at the sight before him. Shizu-chan had his arms on either side of Izayas head and seemed to be bracing up most of the wreckage from the sign with his back. His golden brown eyes were clenched shut in exasperation and he wore a grimace on his face that suggested the wreckage covering them was not exactly light or comfortable. Izaya turned his head ever so slightly in either direction to observe the situation they were in. It looked as if the billboard had caused quite the wreck as he couldn't even see the dark sky or any of the trees nearby anymore. He and Shizu-chan were completely immersed in the wreckage. He swallowed nervously as he turned his attention back to the blonde who was focusing very hard on keeping the shattered wood and bent metal from digging anymore into him than it already was.
"Ne, Shizu-chan." he called, thankful that his voice didn't show how uncomfortable with the situation he really was. "Now isn't really the time to put the moves on me."
"Shut the hell up." Shizuo managed to grumble out opening his eyes to glare at the wretched isnect below him. "It's not like I want to be in this position." Truly he didn't. When it first happened, he didn't even notice as his first instinct was to just throw all of the wreck off himself. Then he realized that most of the wreck was actually digging into his back. He could feel a warm line of blood making its way down the sleeve of his left arm He didn't want to do anything drastic until he could figure out what his injuries were in case he really screwed something up by moving. It didn't make the situation any better when he realized he was on top of the damn flea but he decided to bare with it for now until he came up with a better idea.
"Oh? Would Shizu-chan prefer to be on the bottom?" Izaya mewled with a suggestive smirk, antagonizing the blond. Shizu-chan's eyes screamed hate as they bore into Izayas reddish brown ones.
"I really wish I could just let this crush you." Shizuo grinned angrily as he made a move to shift more comfortably. The slight movement was all it took for the wreckage to shift dangerously, forcing Shizuo to lose his sturdy support on his arms and fall forward, catching himself on his elbows. His face was now to the right of Izayas, their body's' pressed flushed against each other. Shizuo began panting heavily as the weight intensified on his shoulders. He had never imagined he'd be this close to the flea. He felt Izaya shift uncomfortably beneath him, causing the raven hair to brush his cheek. He was surprised at how soft it was and how it actually smelled, well, good.
Izaya felt his heartbeat speed up. His eyes widened slightly at the close proximity he was in with Shizu-chan. He could feel the brutes hot breath on his neck. "Shizu-chan, really? Please try to keep it in your pants, ne?" he teased to try and make himself more comfortable but it wasn't working. Why was he getting so worked up over this? It's not like he even liked the idiot. He hated him with every fiber of his being. He glanced to the right out of the corner of his eyes to see a mess of blond hair, hiding the face of his enemy. "Please stop breathing on me. It's disgusting." he growled out. Shizuo lifted his head so their faces were inches apart and glared down at Izaya once more. Izaya took the time to study the monsters face. He never realized that Shizu-chan had such a strong jawline and the way his bleached blond hair fell among his face shaped it nicely. He admitted in his mind that Shizu-chan was actually quite handsome.
Shizuo had lost the glare in his eyes and was now just staring intently at Izayas face. Izaya swallowed nervously again and willed his intense heartbeat to slow down, actually worried the brute would be able to hear it. "Izaya..." Shizuo said in a low voice. He had been watching the flea study his face for the past couple minutes and took the time to try and clear his mind. He wanted the thoughts of how he actually thought Izaya was attractive, and how he was slowly not minding the fact that they were so close to each other, to go away. When the thoughts still lingered and only intensified he lost his will to glare down at the man laying helplessly below him. He relaxed his face as Izaya caught his eyes and met him with an even stare. He admired the feminine yet strong features of Izayas face, and the way a slight pink blush had crept it's way onto his pale cheeks.
"Is Shizu-chan thinking of dirty things?" Izaya sneered.
"What?" Shizuo asked dumbly, snapping out of his trance and remembering just who it was that lay beneath him.
"Shizu-chans staring at me with lovey dovey eyes." Izaya cooed, giggling to himself.
"I am not, flea." Shizuo rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Are too." Izaya smirked again, cocking his head and rasing an eyebrow.
"Am not." Shizuo growled out, staring down the informant.
"Are too!" Izaya sing-songed like a child.
"I AM NOT!" Shizuo yelled, losing his temper even more getting closer to the fleas face in his rage. Izaya raised both his eyebrows in amusement. His smirk widened into a devious smile as he did something that took Shizuo completely off guard. He closed the small distance that separated their faces and lightly pressed his lips to the others. Shizuo froze up and his eyes widened at the action. When Izaya pulled away, he was smiling evilly up at the blond.
"What the hell was that." Shizuo said, more of a statement than an actual question.
"A kiss." Izaya said, staring deep into the brown hues of the man above him. He lifted his hands up and pressed them against Shizuo's chest and began running them up and down. He pressed his lips once more to Shizu-chans and slightly parted his lips to deepen the kiss.
"Ah..." Shizuo gasped into Izayas kiss and was at a loss for words or action as he let the man massage his chest. When Izaya broke the kiss again, he stared dumbly down at him. The flea was looking at him suggestively. He wanted to tell the louse to stop messing around but he still couldn't find his voice.
"Do you want me to stop, Shizu-chan?" Izaya purred into his ear as his ministrations continued lower down to his waist. The fleas hands grasping lightly at the hem of his vest, moving to slide underneath. Izaya flicked his tongue out to graze just below his ear, making Shizuo gasp and flinch. The sudden movement cause the wreckage to shift again, ruining the mood as Shizuo snapped out of it. The sudden shift had taken a gratuitous amount of weight off his back and he realized that his injuries weren't so severe. With a mighty shove, he hurled the large pieces of wood off himself and immediately separated himself from the flea. He stood among the chaotic mess that was once a billboard sign advertising some celebrity perfume and struggled to find words still.
Izaya sat up and brought a hand to the back of his head to rub it. Just what exactly was he just trying to do? He mentally slapped himself. He had gotten caught up in teasing the idiot that he accidentally took it too far and when he realized he actually enjoyed the feeling of kissing the monster, he wanted to see how much further he could get. He maintained his facade of being perfectly calm when in fact he was flipping out inside. It was absolutely unlike him to do something like that. He's not one to get close to humans in those kinds of ways. Is it because he doesn't consider Shizu-chan a human? He looked over at Shizuo and was pleased to see the blond was looking at his feet, still at a loss for words. Perhaps he could fake his way out of the situation and tease the blond some more. Just as he was about to say something, Shizuo looked at him with a rather angry looking expression, his cheeks as red as cherries, and took off at a dead sprint towards his home.
"Stupid flea." Shizuo muttered as he ran into his apartment building. What the hell was all that? He glanced down at his still bleeding arm and wondered where the blood was coming from. He needed something to take his mind off of what just happened.
Izaya still sat in the same spot, glaring at nothing. He was beyond pissed at himself. Where did he get off thinking of Shizu-chan like that. Wanting to kiss him and touch him more. It was disgusting. He never would dream of thinking about his lovely humans like that. It was just wrong. That was his first kiss too and it was with the monster of Ikebukuro. Granted it was his fault. He clenched his left hand into a fist as he slowly stood up. Perhaps he could blame this all on the nasty bump that was forming on the back of his head. He could just say he wasn't in his right mind. He began walking back to his apartment, formulating excuses and plans to get himself out of the awkward situation.
Shizuo had downed a large glass of milk and flopped onto his couch. He should probably go to Shinra to get his arm checked out tomorrow but all he could think of was that damn flea and his soft lips and sweet smell and... wait a second... stop thinking of him like that. That damn perverted flea had just done that to mess with him. It didn't mean anything. So why couldn't he just let it go and be angry and want to bash the flea's head in. Why was he flustered and nervous? He shoved his face into a pillow and groaned. Why was he acting like such a girl about this. So many questions were flying through his head at lightning pace but the one that kept surfacing the most was this:
Why did he want to kiss Izaya again?
My initial intent for this story was to just be a one shot but as I continued to write, I added in more and more and eventually it became more than that. I still kind of intend to leave it this way but if you guys want it to continue I shall abide by your wishes!
I'm also unsure if I want this to have smut or just fluffy goodness so I'll leave it up for you guys to decide.
Also, please let me know if I messed up on anything, whether it be spelling and grammar or just character personalities. I checked over the story twice but I still could have missed something so your criticism would be awesome!
In case you didn't catch the innuendos above, reviews would be a lovely gift for me, please and thank you :3
I appreciate you reading and putting up with my first story! Sankyu! :3
