The Phantom Thief of Slifer
Summary: Jaden Niwa-Yuki is the real identity of Daisuke Niwa, the vessel of Phantom Thief Dark Mousy. There's also one other fact about Jaden, he's actually a girl! No one but Emiko, Dark, Riku Harada, and With knows the truth about him. When Jaden attends Duel Academy, will her family and friends finally find out the truth about her? And what will happen when Dark gets a body of his own? Female!Jaden. Spirit shipping later on. Rated T for swearing.
Hiya people! For those who have read either my bio or Duel Idol GX, no; the story is not dead. I will repost it eventually.
Jaden: That's good to hear.
Me: Jaden you are here 15 years too early.
Jaden: No I'm not. I'm 16, remember?
Dark: She's got a point there Mizumi.
Me: Shut up, Dark!*realizes something* Wait a minute! Jay! You're in the wrong story!
Jaden: No I'm not!
Me: Yes you are! This isn't Duel Idol GX! If your coming to comment in this story, you're going to be known as E-Heroine!
Dark: I see your point now.*grabs E-Heroine(Jaden)* Come on, let's get you back to Due Idol GX! *leaves*
Okay, now that's settled, let's move onto my new story.

Prologue:
~August 31, 15 years ago~
Twenty-year-old Emiko Niwa was screaming in pain as she was giving birth in the Domino City hospital. Her husband, Devin Yuki, was sitting right by her, grasping her hand and coaxing her as she went through labor. Nurses were running about, getting the items needed to deliver the baby that was coming. Doctors were trying to help Devin keep Emiko's mind off the pain as much as possible.
After 10 more minutes of pain, sounds of a new life rang through the room. The doctors and nurses rushed to weigh the baby so it could be given to the parents quickly. Relaxing, Emiko took several deep breaths. Seeing how exhausted his wife was, Devin asked, "How's the baby? Is it a boy or a girl?" Smiling, the nurse replied, "Congratulations you two! It's a healthy girl! Do you want to hold her?"
Emiko nodded weakly. Gently, the nurse gave Emiko the baby, instructing both parents how to hold the baby and care for it. After that, all the medical staff left the room to give the new parents some space.
Devin looked at Emiko with sympathetic eyes, speaking softly, "I'm sorry I didn't give you what you wanted, but isn't she a beau, honey?"
Emiko smiled weakly at Devin, saying in a hoarse voice, "It's alright dear. Seeing what we created fills me with happiness, even though it's a girl." Almost as if the baby understood them, she gave a bright, gummy smile and showing off her bright, brown eyes.
Smiling, Emiko said, "Here Devin, why don't you hold our child?" Tenderly receiving the child from his wife's arms, Devin smiled and rocked the child.
Suddenly, a spirit of a male with amethyst colored locks and eyes appeared before the couple and their newborn daughter. However, only Devin and the baby could see him. Sensing that someone was looking at him, the spirit turned, shocked. "Y-you-!? You can see me!?" Nodding, Devin whispered. "Yes I can. I've been able to see spirits ever since I could remember. You're the phantom thief, Dark Mousy, right?"
Nodding meekly, the spirit exclaimed, "I can't believe it! You can see me!" Regaining his composure, he smirked, "Well then, since I can sense the both of you will be kind to your daughter, I give her my blessing to be my vessel."
Shocked, Devin softly shouted, "What!? A girl can actually be your vessel!?"
Dark laughed, "Of course they can! I don't usually choose girls because their family usually will discriminate against her. Plus, I can see your daughter has inherited powers of her own as well, seeing that she has been looking at us curiously and trying to grab me."
True to Dark's words, the baby was looking in Dark's direction, trying to reach for the phantom thief's hair. Chuckling in shock and joy, Devin beamed, "Thank you so much! My wife would be so ecstatic to hear this." Dark smiled and disappeared into the newborn's body. Turning around to his very confused wife, Devin told Emiko the news he was just told. Emiko was beyond joy when she heard it, before both she and the baby yawned. Deciding to let her and the baby rest at the moment, Devin went to leave the room to finish setting up the nursery.
Before he left, one of the nurses came in and asked, "So what will her name be?"
"Jaden Kurayami. Jaden since I always wanted to name my child that and Kurayami because my wife always wanted to give that name to a girl," Devin smiled as he left. The nurse also smiled as she went to check on the new mother and child. She found Emiko still awake on the hospital bed, smiling, as she said, "Jaden Kurayami Yuki-Niwa…I like how that name blends in perfectly with either of our surnames and how he remembered what I've wanted to name my baby if it was a girl."
"Well Mrs. Yuki-Niwa, I'm glad you have such a loving husband. Now I think you should get some rest, the other nurses and I can take care of the little one for now," the nurse replied. Giving the newly-named Jaden to the nurse, Emiko fell into a deep sleep.
~3 months later~
Emiko was crying as Devin was laid into the earth, holding onto Jaden tightly.
Two weeks ago, she and Devin were relaxing in their room, when the heard strange noises, followed by loud crying. Proclaiming, "Jaden!" at the same time, they rushed to the nursery, only to find someone pointing a gun at Emiko's chest. The intruder, obviously a male by the sound of his voice, commanded, "You! The one on the right! Give me all your valuables, or the woman gets hurt!" Putting his free hand near Jaden's mouth, he watched as Devin slowly backed away. Seeing this opportunity, Jaden went and bit the robber with her new teeth. Hard.
Yelping in pain, the robber accidentally fired the gun. Not wanting to have his wife killed, Devin pushed Emiko out of the way. However, that bullet hit him in the chest, to be more exact, his heart. Emiko screamed as the robber fled, and called 911. But it was too late. Devin Yuki died just as the paramedics arrived.
After the funeral, Devin's parents comforted their secret daughter-in-law, as they knew how much she loved their son. Drying her tears, Emiko asked, "Saria, do you think you could look after Jaden for a while? I want Jaden to have a father in her life." Mrs. Yuki smiled, "Of course deary. Although, you should keep Jaden a secret from every man you meet."
"Saria, I've been keeping my marriage to Devin a secret from my family for 5 years. They still don't know about that or Jaden for the matter now. If they do find out, I'll say I found her on my doorstep," Emiko responded.
"Still, be careful Emiko. Lord knows what might happen."
"I'll try. If I have another child bring Jaden with you to the hospital I'm at"
Mr. Yuki was shocked and asked, "Child, what for?"
"In case the next child is a stillborn, I want Jaden to be substituted with it. I love her too much to have her forever separated from me. I'll try and visit as frequently as possible, if that's alright with you."
The elderly coupled smiled and replied, "Emiko, you are one crafty woman. We wish you the best of luck."
~1 year later, November 11~
Emiko had soon met another man named Kosuke in December and married him in March of the next year. She also found out she was with child again. This time, Emiko's family knew of the marriage and Emiko's pregnancy. She also made sure to keep in contact and visit, her secret in-laws and child as much as possible. As soon as she found out she was going into labor again, she would have secretly called the Yukis to go to the Azumuno Hospital.
Now, over a year after Jaden's birth, Emiko gave birth again. Having sent Kosuke away to get her some water and tell her family the news, Emiko told the nurses to get Mr. and Mrs. Yuki to tell them the results. As soon as they arrived, Emiko started crying silent tears, holding a ruby haired baby. "It's a stillborn boy, Saria. Apparently one of the nurses wasn't paying attention and didn't see the head come out until it was too late," Emiko told them. "Oh my God! I'm so sorry Emiko," Mr. Yuki cried
"It's alright Takashi. Somehow in the back of my mind, I knew this was going to happen."
"What are you going to do now? You can't tell them the baby's a stillborn!"
"Remember what I said at Devin's funeral? I'm going to disguise Jaden as a boy."
"What!?" Mrs. Yuki exclaimed before calming down. "Emiko, I do indeed remember, but it's going to be hard disguising a girl as a boy. Especially, a one-year old girl."
Suddenly, Dark appeared to everyone in the room in a spectral form from Jaden's body. Surprised, the Yukis asked, "Who are you?"
"I'm Dark, the spirit dwelling in Jaden's body." Turning to Emiko, he said, "Emiko, I can use my magic to turn time back on Jaden by a year. However, she will still have the mentality of a one-year-old, so she will be smarter than those her age and the spell will wear off once fourteen years from now have passed. Technically Jaden will be awakening 'early' when she's thirteen, so you have to keep it a secret."
"I understand. What about the boy?"
"I will resurrect him as a tiny rose angel, only visible to you, Jaden, and people who can see spirits. What were you going to name him?"
"I was going name him Daisuke."
"Perfect. I'll just perform the spells now. See you in thirteen years, Mom."
Smiling, Dark turned to Jaden and Daisuke, turning Jaden into a newborn baby again and giving Daisuke a new life as a tiny rose angel. Opening his eyes for the first time, Emiko saw that they were ruby colored as well, Daisuke started to cry. Upon seeing Jaden and Dark, he calmed down and flew unsteadily to them. As he landed, Daisuke fell onto his bottom on the bed, making both Jaden and himself laugh. Dark shook his head in amusement at the babies'(A/N: Hey! I know I said I resurrected Daisuke, but he's still going to be a baby. For now, that is.) actions. He then returned to Jaden's body to rest since he used too much power.
The Yukis then gave the new baby Jaden to Emiko, now that Daisuke's body 'disappeared', and left the room. At that moment, Kosuke returned with the water Emiko requested. After she thanked him, Kosuke asked, "What shall the name of our son be sweetie?"
Looking down at her 'son', Emiko saw that Jaden now looked like her new rose angel baby son, who was giggling and playing with a blanket. Realizing that Dark also cast this spell, probably until Jaden was old enough to wear a wig and colored contacts, Emiko smiled and answered, "Daisuke. His name is Daisuke dear."
Okay, you can hate me for killing Daisuke, but I brought him back. Happy? I know I am, since Daisuke is one of my favorite D.N. Angel characters. If you have any reviews that have to do with deletion, PM me.
