Hey guys, Fire Dragon of Miracles coming at you with a new story for Star Wars Rebels called, The Neo-Republic. This story will have a few differences from the normal Star Wars franchise, with one of them being that Anakin doesn't turn to the Dark side of the force. Also, a few people form the clone wars, one of them being Captain Rex, who refused to work with the Empire. Anyway ways read on to the first chapter of my new story, The Neo-Republic!
(Lothal: Capital City)
It was a normal day in Capital City on the planet Lothal. The people where going through their normal routine of their lives, with the exception of a certain hooded teenager who at the moment, was running from a large group of Stormtroopers.
"Halt! Halt by order of the Empire!" The Stormtroopers shouted, shooting at the teen.
The boy ducked underneath the blaster shots before making a sharp turn into a alleyway. The Stormtroopers made the turn into the alleyway, but saw that the teenager had vanish.
"Where'd he go?!" One of the Troopers said, looking around.
"Where ever he want, he couldn't have gotten far! Split and find him!" The lead trooper shouted.
All the troopers gave a salute before running off in different directions. Unknown to them, the boy they had been chasing was seen standing on a rooftop, letting out a sigh of relief. " Who's plan was this again." He said, wiping the sweat from his brow. "Oh yeah, mine."
The boy than took a seat on the rooftop when he heard a beeping sound coming from the comlink on his left wrist. Raising the device to his face, he activated it. "This is Spector 6." He said, talking into the comlink.
"Ezra, did you manage to retrieve the holochip with the files?" A male voice asked, coming from the comlink.
Ezra than stood up and removed his hood, revealing his blue hair that was now tied into a ponytail. It had been a year since Ezra had join the rebels in their battle against the empire, and he had change quite a bit. He was now 16 and had grown taller, being a bit shorter than Kanan but a bit taller than Sabine. He was also had gotten a bit more muscular, having lean muscles. His wardrobe also change, as he now wore a black one sleeved jacket with an orange shirt underneath, with red protective armor around his right arm, blue jeans with a black belt and red and black armored shoes. His Lightsaber could be seen resting on his belt.
"Yeah I got it." Ezra said, pulling a holopad and holochip out from his jacket.
Ezra than placed the Holochip in the Holopad and turned it on, a holographic image appearing. His eyes widen in shock as a gasp escaped his mouth. "No way." He said.
"What? Ezra is something wrong?!" Kanan asked.
"Kanan, contact everyone and meet me at the ghost!" Ezra said, complete seriousness in his voice.
"Alright." Kanan said.
Ezra than turn his comlink off along with the holopad, before placing his hood back on. He than began his way back to the ghost as fast as he could.
(The ghost)
The crew of the ghost could be seen sitting in the living area, with Kanan pacing back and fort. The Jedi knight was know 29 years old and hadn't change much over the past year, with the exception growing taller, a bit more muscular and his hair and goatee growing a bit longer. His clothing had change a bit, as he now wore an open dark green jacket with a black shirt underneath, gray pants and black shoes. He still wore the protective guard on his right shoulder, along with having his Lightsaber on his belt and his DL-18 blaster in it's blaster holder on his right leg.
Kanan let out an sigh before he took a seat beside Hera. "Where is Ezra? He should have been here by now." He said, placing a hand on his head.
Hera placed a comforting on Kanan shoulder. The female Twi'lek was 27 years old, and had change a bit over the year, mostly with her figure becoming more slender and her lekku had grown longer and thinner. Her outfit had change, as she now wore a black jacket with a white shirt underneath, blue pants and brown shoes. She also wore pads on her elbows and knees, and she still had the same pair of goggles resting on top of her head.
"Don't worry love, I'm pretty sure he's on his way." Hera said, smiling.
Kanan turned towards Hera and smiled. "Thanks Hera." He said.
Zeb just let out a sigh as he rested his chin in his hand. The Lasat was 40 years old and had change mostly in body, as he had become more muscular, his chest became more broader and he had grown taller, remaining as the crew tallest member. The Lasat now wore green and black body armor that reached down to his elbows, green wrist gauntlets with silver spikes on the sides and gray pants with a black and white waist belt.
"I swear, this kids tells us to meet him here on the ghost and he's not even here!" Zeb said, an annoyed expression on his face.
Suddenly, the Lasat jerked up from his seat, before turning to see Chopper beeping in happy tone, his retractable hands glowing with electricity.
"Damn rust bucket, come here!" Zeb shouted, chasing after the droid.
Sabine just chuckled as she watch Zeb try to grab Chopper. The female Mandalorian, now at the age of 17 years old had change mostly like Hera, with her becoming a bit taller; being a bit shorter than Ezra, her figure becoming more slender and her hair having grown longer with it now being tied in a ponytail. Sabine still wore her Mandalorian armor, having made a few modifications, will still having her twin WESTAR-35 blaster pistol, she now had Dur-24 wrist lasers on her right wrist, a couple of Adhesive grenade and a GLX Firelance blaster rifle, for when she need some extra firepower.
"I'm with Hera on this. Ezra might of had to take a different route to get here." Sabine said, smiling.
Just as she finished that sentence; Ezra came running through the door, sweat running down his face as he took deep breaths. "Sorry... for taking... so long." He said, wiping the sweat form his face.
"Where have you been?" Kanan asked, walking towards his Padawan.
Ezra than pulled the Holochip from his pocket. "That's not important, you need to see what's on this chip." He exclaimed, handing the chip to Kanan.
Kanan walked towards the Holoprojector and placed the chip into a slot. The projector showed something called project L. "Project L?" Kanan questioned.
Ezra than walked over to the projector; before changing the image, showing what looked like schematics for some kind of Superlaser. "The empire is building this laser, and thought it's still in the prototype stage; from what I overheard when I was getting the chip, it has enough power to destroy an entire city." He said, turning to the crew. "Guess where their planning to try it on first."
The of the group eyes widen in shock and horror, realizing what Ezra was referring to.
"Wait you don't mean..." Sabine said, thought she could not finish her sentence.
"Yeah, their planning to use it on Lothal and what's worse, their planning to test it on Tarkintown tonight." Ezra said, his hands turning into fist. "Their planning on doing a Genocide."
The entire crew was silence, even Chopper was quite. "So, what's the plan?" Zeb asked, thrusting his right hand into his left palm.
Kanan crossed his arms and turn to the rest of the crew. "In one hour, we head out and take that Star Destroyer out before it could use that laser." He said, walking towards the ladder. "Make sure your all ready by the next hour."
Kanan then climbed up the ladder, Hera, Zeb and Chopper following after him. Sabine was about to follow as well, but than Ezra placed a hand on her shoulder which caused her to stop. "Hey Sabine, could you meet me outside in five minutes?" He asked.
"Sure, is something wrong?" She question, looking at Ezra.
"I need your help with something, make sure you bring your Equipment." Ezra said, before running out the ship.
Sabine than headed for the ladder. "I wonder what Ezra needs help with." She wondered, heading for her room.
(Outside the Ghost)
We see Ezra training with his Lightsaber, his jacket tied around his waist as he trained. He than used the force to toss a large rock into the air, before jumping into the air and switching to a reverse hand grip and sliced the rock into four parts. He than landed on the ground before running towards another rock and slicing it in half. Deactivating his Lightsaber, Ezra took a seat on the ground.
"Impressive."
Ezra looked to his side to see Sabine walking towards him, her helmet resting in her arms as she wore a smile on her face. "You've gotten really good with that thing." She said, sitting beside Ezra.
"Thanks." Ezra said, looking up at the sky.
The duo just sat in silence, looking up at the orange sky. "You think will be able to do it? Taking down that Imperial Star Destroyer?" Sabine questioned, breaking the silence between them.
"I don't really know, but what I do know is that we at least need to try!" Ezra answered, looking at his right fist. "If we don't take that thing out; lot's of people are going to die, and I for one would rather go down fighting trying stop it, than doing nothing and watching it happen!"
Sabine looked at Ezra with a surprised expression before smiling and letting out a small giggle.
"What?" Ezra said, turning to Mandalorian.
"It's funny, but it really does look like you've grown up since a year ago." Sabine said, turning to the blue haired boy.
A small blush appeared on Ezra's face as turned away from Sabine, thought a smile did appear on his face. "I guess I have." He said.
Ezra than stood and reached his hand out to Sabine, with the latter taking the hand and the former pulling her up to her feet. "Anyways, back on why I asked you to out here." Ezra said, twirling his Lightsaber in his hand.
"Yeah, you said you need help with something right?" Sabine asked, putting on her helmet.
Ezra nodded, activating his Lightsaber. "Yeah, you see I've been working on a new Lightsaber technique, something I call Tsume'Suoh." He said, crouching and placing his Lightsaber behind him. "So I need you to shoot at me."
"You say that so causally." Sabine said, drawing her pistols. "Want me to set them on stun?"
Ezra looked at Sabine with sarcastic look "Yeah, cause I'm sure a group of Stormtroopers are gonna shot at me with their blaster set on stun." He said, in a sarcastic tone.
Sabine just let out a sigh. "Ya know a simple no, would have been enough." She said, aiming at Ezra.
Ezra than dashed forward, running towards Sabine while remaining in his crouched stance. Sabine than began to fire her blasters at Ezra, who blocked her shots before beginning to run around her in a circle.
"What is he planning?" Sabine thought, as she watched Ezra.
Suddenly Ezra sprinted forward towards Sabine and before the Mandalorian girl could make a move, his Lightsaber could be seen a few inches away from her neck.
"Whoa." Sabine said, as she held her breath.
Ezra than deactivated his Lightsaber and took a few steps back from Sabine. "If you had been a Stormtrooper, you wouldn't be breathing right." He said, taking a seat on the ground.
Sabine placed her blasters in their holders, before taking off her helmet. "That move looks like it took awhile to prefect." She exclaimed, sitting in front of Ezra.
"It was, the move could either be used to impale, slash upwards or decapitation." Ezra answered, looking at the sky.
"I see." Sabine said, also looking towards the sky.
Suddenly, the two heard a beeping sound and saw that it was coming from Ezra comlink. Ezra raised the comlink to his face before answering. "Hello?"
"Ezra, is Sabine with you?" Hera voice could be heard coming from the comlink.
"Yeah, what's up?" Ezra asked, looking at Sabine.
"Were heading out, hurry back to the ship!" Hera said.
Ezra nodded. "Right where on our way!" He exclaimed.
Ezra than ended the communication, before standing up. "We gotta go." He said, holding his hand out to Sabine.
Sabine grabbed Ezra hand and he pulled her up to her feet. It appeared that Ezra pulled Sabine up a bit to fast, as the latter had lost her balance and was about to fall forward when the former caught her before she fell. The two than looked at each other, noticing their faces were extremely close to one another. Suddenly, both began to lean closer to one another, before capture each others lips in a passionate kiss. After about a minute the two separated from each other, both having large blushes on their faces.
"S-so, we should head back to the ghost." Ezra said, stuttering.
"Y-yeah, I guess so." Sabine said, stuttering as well.
The two than began to run back to the ghost, and unknown to either of the two, both had hidden smiles on their faces as they ran.
(Space)
An Imperial Star Destroyer was seen in space flying about Lothal. The imperial ship was different than others, as a large cannon could be seen underneath the ship. Inside the control room, The Inquisitor could been seen in the control room, looking towards Lothal.
"In just a few moments, our weapon will be tested on that worthless settlement." He said, smiling cruelly.
"Sir, incoming transmission." One of the control room workers, turning to the Inquisitor.
The Inquisitor then placed a hand on his chin. "Hm, put it through." He order.
The worker nodded, putting through the transmission. "This is the Inquisitor, who may I be speaking to?" The Inquisitor asked.
(The Ghost)
"Inquisitor, this is Agent Kallus, ISB-021." Ezra said, his voice sounding like a near exact replica of Kallus.
"Agent Kallus, I wasn't expecting to hear from you so soon." The Inquisitor said.
"I didn't want to miss the demonstration of the weapon." "Ezra said, smirking. "Permission to dock in the lower hanger?"
"Granted, two Stormtroopers will meet you their." The Inquisitor exclaimed.
"Very well." Ezra said, before ending the transmission. "Looks like they bought it."
"Alright, let's go over the plan one more time." Kanan said, turning to the rest of the crew. "Me and Zeb will stay in the hanger and secure our escape route."
"While your doing that; Ezra and I will make our way to the engine room and plant the detonator." Sabine said, smiling.
A grin than appeared on Ezra face. "Which than blows the room to smithereens, taking out not only the laser but the entire ship in the process." He said, pounding his fist into his hand.
"Exactly." Kanan said, grinning as well. "Now are their any questions?"
"Yeah, what happens if we need to leave earlier before Ezra and Sabine finish placing the detonator?" Hera questioned, crossing her arms.
"If that is to happen, than you, Zeb and Chopper will get off this thing with the ghost; while I'll get Ezra and Sabine, and the three of us will get off the ship in a escape pod." Kanan answered, looking at Hera.
"Alright, let just hope that doesn't happen." Hera said, an worried expression on her face.
The rest of the crew were just as worried as Hera was, but hoped that everything would go according to plan.
(Star Destroyer: Lower Hanger)
The Ghost had just entered the lower hanger of the Star Destroyer, where two Stormtroopers could be seen entering the hanger. As the Ghost hanger door opened, the two troopers who had been expecting to see agent Kallus; where surprised when they saw a Lasat instead of the Imperial agent.
"Hey." Zeb said, waving to the troopers.
Zeb than grabbed the two troopers and slammed them against each other, effectively knocking them out. Ezra, Sabine and Kanan than walked out of the ghost and walked beside the Lasat, with Sabine having a backpack on. "Hey look, Zeb made some new friends." Ezra said, gesturing to the two unconscious Stormtroopers.
"Yep, meet Jake and Mark." Zeb said, before throwing the two unconscious troopers to the side.
Kanan than turned to Ezra and Sabine. "Alright, you two head to the engine room and plant the detonator! Will hold down the fort here!" He said, pulling out his Lightsaber.
Ezra and Sabine nodded before the two began to run down the corridor in the direction of the engine room. "You getting a bad feeling about this too?" Zeb asked, pulling out his Bo-rifle.
"Yeah." Kanan said, activating his Lightsaber.
(Control room)
The Inquisitor seemed to have his eyes closed before opening them. "I sense a disturbance in the force." He said, before turning to one of the control workers. "Put up the security camera in the lower hanger."
The worker nodded before pulling up the footage from the security camera. The Inquisitor could see the Kanan and Zeb standing in the lower hanger with the ghost behind them. "It looks like we've been trick." He muttered, before turning to a lieutenant. "Have all the troopers converge at the lower hanger!"
"Yes sir, but what are you going to do?" The lieutenant question.
"I have a feeling I know why their here." The Inquisitor said, smiling evilly.
The Inquisitor than walked out of the control room, heading for the very place the rebels had come to destroy.
(Lower hanger)
Kanan and Zeb just continue to stand in front of the corridor entrance, waiting for Ezra and Sabine to return from placing the detonator. Suddenly, the ships alarm began to go off with the loud speakers turning on.
"Attention all troopers, there are intruders in the lower hanger! I repeat, there are intruders in the lower hanger!"
"Well, looks like we been found out!" Zeb said, readying his blaster.
Kanan raised his arm and activated his comlink. "Spector 1 to Spector 6, do you read me?!" Kanan said, speaking into the com.
"Sorry Kanan, were a little busy here!"
"Why, did something happen on your way to the engine room?" Kanan asked, as he saw Imperial troopers entering the hanger.
(Outside the engine room)
Ezra ducked underneath the barrage of blaster shots that were being fired by five Stormtroopers. He than jumped back before taking cover behind a wall and looked to his side to see Sabine on the opposite wall . "Yeah, you could say that." Ezra said, speaking in comlink.
"Do you need help?" Kanan asked.
"No, I have a plan don't worry." Ezra said, before cutting the transmission.
Sabine turned to Ezra. "You got a plan?" She asked, firing her wrist laser at the troopers.
"Yeah, toss me two of your adhesive grenade!" Ezra said, switching his Lightsaber to a reverse grip.
Sabine pulled a grenade off her belt and tossed it to Ezra. "Give me some cover." Ezra said.
"On three?" Sabine asked, getting her Firelance rifle ready.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three!" Ezra than jumped out from behind the wall and began to run towards the troopers, deflecting the shots aimed at him. Sabine than began to shoot her rifle at the Stormtroopers, providing Ezra with suppressive fire. Ezra than jumped into the air and tossed the grenades at the Stormtroopers, with the grenades exploding and covering the Stormtroopers in a sticky blue substance, anchoring the imperials bodies onto the ground.
"Nice work." Sabine said, walking beside Ezra.
"Thanks. Let's keep moving!" Ezra said, jumping over the Stormtroopers.
Sabine jumped over the Stormtroopers and followed Ezra down the corridor. After running for a few minutes, Ezra and Sabine arrived in front of a door.
"This should be the place." Ezra said, looking at Sabine.
"Great, but how do we get in?" Sabine asked, pointing to the security lock. "We need a key card to open this thing."
Ezra than activated his Lightsaber; before stabbing it into the security lock. The lock short-circuited and the door suddenly opened.
"How did you know that would work?" Sabine asked, looking at Ezra.
"I didn't." Ezra said, walking into the room.
Sabine shook her head and walked in after Ezra. Their the two found the Engine that powered the entire ship.
"You got the detonators right?" Ezra asked, looking Sabine.
Sabine placed the backpack on the ground and pulled out 5 V-1 thermal detonators. "Like you even have to ask." Sabine said, as she began to place the detonators on the engine.
Ezra smiled before a frown appeared on his face, as he felt a disturbance in the force. "Something's coming." He whispered.
Ezra eyes widen before he turn around and activated his Lightsaber, as he found himself face to face with the Inquisitor.
"It seems the Force has grown stronger within you." The Inquisitor said, activating his Lightsaber and smirk darkly at Ezra. "Let's see how strong you have become hm?"
"Spector 1, we might need your help after all." Ezra said, getting into his fighting stance.
(Lower hanger)
Kanan deflected a blaster bolt and sent it back at the Imperial trooper. He than jumped back, dodging a barrage of shots that he had sense thanks to using the Force.
"Zeb, their on the platforms above!" Kanan said, ducking behind some crates.
Zeb looked out from behind a TIE Fighter and aimed at the two Imperial Troopers, before shooting them off the platform. "Take that you Imepiral dogs!" The Lasat shouted, as he continued his assault.
As Kanan continue to deflect the Imperial troopers fires, he heard his co link activate.
"Spector 1, we might need your help after all." Ezra voice could be heard over the com.
"What wrong?" Kanan asked, a blaster bolt nearly hitting him in the face.
"The Inquisitor is in the engine room with us!" Ezra shouted through the comlink.
"Hold on, I'm on my way there!" Kanan said, before switching the comlinks signal. "Spector 1 to Spector 2, where going with plan B!"
"I had a feeling this would happen, what do you need?" Hera asked.
"I need you to clear out the troopers in front of the corridor." Kanan said, before turning to Zeb. "Zeb had back to The Ghost, I'll get Ezra and Sabine!"
"Alright, be careful boss." Zeb said, before running to the Ghost.
The Ghost hanger door opened and Zeb entered the ship. The ship than began float upwards and the ships main turrets began to fire at the Stormtroopers, causing the Imperial troopers to jump out of the way, which resulted in the entrance way of the corridor to be open.
"Thanks Hera, now hurry and get out of here!" Kanan said, as he began to run towards the corridor.
"Alright Kanan, stay safe okay." Hera said, a worried tone her voice.
"Don't worry I will!" Kanan said, as he entered the corridor.
The Ghost than turned towards the Hangers exit before blasting out of the hanger and into Space.
(Engine room)
Ezra blocked the Inquisitor attacked, their Lightsabers locked as the two tried to overpower the other.
"Your master has taught you well, I wasn't expecting you to last this long." The Inquisitor said, smirking evilly.
"You know what they say, like Master like Pupil!" Ezra said, gritting his teeth together.
The Inquisitor than kicked Ezra in the stomach, knocking the blue haired teen unconscious as his head hit the wall.
"Ezra!" Sabine shouted, before she fixed a glare on the Inquisitor. "Your gonna regret that you creep!"
Sabine than drew her dual WESTAR-35 blaster pistols and began to shot a barrage of plasma shots at the Inquisitor. The corrupted Pau'an just deflected all of Sabine shots, sending one of the shots back that hit Sabine in her right arm.
"Gahhhh!" Sabine shouted, falling to her knees and clutching her wounded arm.
"You are becoming a annoying pest girl." The Inquisitor said, raising his Lightsaber into the air. "Which is way I shall end your life now."
Just as the Inquisitor said those words; Ezra had regain consciousness and opened his eyes to see Sabine at the mercy of the Inquisitor, with the latter starting to bring down his Lightsaber on the former. Time suddenly slowed down as Ezra pupils shrunk and his body stiffened.
"NOOOOOO!" Ezra shouted, his hands shooting forward.
The Inquisitor suddenly stop moving, his Lightsaber just a bit away from Sabine face. The Pau'an suddenly shoot away from Sabine and into the wall, his body pressed against the wall due to the use of The Force. The female Mandalorian then rushed to Ezra's side, the blue haired teen struggling to keep his Force hold on the Inquisitor.
"Ezra, let's get out of here while we can." Sabine said, placing a hand on Ezra shoulder.
Ezra nodded and used the force to retrieve his Lightsaber. He than placed Sabine injured arm on around his shoulder and the two ran out the room, with Ezra's Force hold on the Inquisitor disappearing. The corrupted Pau'an dropped onto the ground and looked towards the direction Ezra and Sabine had gone.
"The boy has grown more powerful than I could even imagine!" The Inquisitor thought, as he stood up.
The Inquisitor than walked out of the room, before he began to run down the corridor in the direction of where Ezra and Sabine had gone.
(Corridor)
Ezra and Sabine ran down the corridor in the direction of the lower hanger.
"How long did you set those detonators for?!" Ezra said, as they turned a corner.
"We have 3 minutes to get off this ship before it explodes!" Sabine exclaimed.
As the duo turned another corner, they found themselves nearly running into Kanan.
"Their you two are, what happen to you?!" Kanan said, noticing the injuries on his friends.
"Will talk about that later, we have less than 3 minutes to get off this ship before it explodes!" Ezra said, looking at his master.
"Than let's hurry, the escape pods are this way!" Kanan said, pointing to the end of the corridor.
The three began to make their way towards the escape pod room. As they entered the room, the trio saw that their was only one escape pod left. Suddenly, the star destroyer started to shake violently.
"Crap, the bombs went off and destroyed the engine room!" Sabine said, as she and Ezra entered the escape pod.
Ezra sat Sabine down on a chair and removed her helmet, with the female letting out a sigh as he did. "Thanks." Sabine said, smiling at Ezra.
Ezra smiled back and nodded. He than turned towards Kanan. "Kanan, we gotta go!" Ezra shouted, looking at his master.
Kanan nodded and was about to enter the escape pod when suddenly the Inquisitor suddenly appeared in the escape pod room.
"Where do you think your going?" The Inquisitor said, activating his Lightsabers second blade.
"Ezra, take the escape pod and escape with Sabine! I'll hold him off!" Kanan said, drawing his Lightsaber from his belt.
Ezra looked at his master in disbelief. "What, no I'm not leaving without you!" Ezra shouted.
"Ezra, there's no time! Get out of here, Now!" Kanan said, fixing firm glare at Ezra.
As the Master and Padawan stared at each other; Sabine place her hand on Ezra shoulder. "Ezra. I'm sorry but we have to go." The Mandalorian said, looking at her friend with a sad expression.
Ezra looked down at the ground before sighing. "Kanan, can I ask you one thing?" Ezra asked, looking up at his master. "Was I a good student?"
Kanan looked at his Padawan before smiling. "You were an amazing student Ezra, and I was proud and honored to be your master." Kanan said, before turning back to the Inquisitor.
Suddenly, Kanan felt something grab him back the of his collar before he was pulled into the escape pod and crashed into Sabine, resulting in the two falling onto the ground. The duo than looked up to see Ezra exit the escape pod and close the pods door.
"Ezra, what are you doing!" Kanan shouted, as he pound his fist against the door. "Open the door!"
"Don't worry guys, I'll find another way off the ship I promise." Ezra said, smiling sadly.
Sabine placed her hand on the door, tears welling up in her eyes. "Ezra, please don't." She whispered.
Ezra looked at Sabine and mouthed something to the female Mandalorian. Sabine eyes widen as tears began to fall down her cheeks.
"Goodbye." Ezra said.
The escape pod than detached from the exploding ship, and Sabine and Kanan could only watch as they moved farther and farther away from Ezra. After they where a good distance away from the damage Star Destroyer, The destroyer started to erupt before the entire ship explode in a massive explosion, destryoing not only the Imperial Lazer but also seemingly killing Ezra as well. Sabine just fall to here knees as tears continue to fall down her cheek.
"No, don't leave us!" Sabine thought, as an image of Ezra appeared in her mind. "EZRAAAAA!"
Kanan just look sadly at his female friend, but suddenly he heard his comlink starting to beep. He raised his arm to his face and activated com. "Spector 1 here." He said.
"Kanan! I'm glad that you made it out safe!" Hera voice could be heard over the comlink.
"Hera, I... I have to tell you something." Kanan said, tears appearing in his eyes.
"What happen, are you all alright?" Hera asked, noticing that sadness in Kanan's voice.
"Ezra gone. He was still on the destroyer when it explode." Kanan said, his hands turning to fist.
"...I-I see." Hera whispered, her voice cracking. "I'll c-come and get you guys."
"Alright." Kanan said, placing a hand over his face and ending the transmission.
After about The Ghost arrived at the location of where Kanan and Sabine escape pod. The escape pod connected with the Ghost docking rings. When the pods door opened, Kanan and Sabine looked to see Hera standing in front off them with tears going down her cheeks. Zeb was sitting against the wall with his hands over his eyes, thought tears could be seen falling down his face. Chopper was just looking down at the floor, thought they could sense the sadness coming from the droid.
"Ezra, is he really...?" Hera asked, looking at Kanan.
Kanan closed his is eyes and nodded, and that was all Hera needed to know. The Twi'lek rushed to Kanan and buried her face into his chest, tears flowing down her face at a greater rate. Kanan hugged Hera and rested his head on hers, tears falling from his eyes. Sabine than leaned against the wall, tears still falling from her eyes. The words that Ezra had mouth to her moments before the escape pod ejected continue to play in her head, three words that's she knew she would ever hear again.
"I Love You."
That was all that was need for Sabine to finally realize that she was in love with Ezra, and now he was gone. She would never get to tell him about her feelings for and worst of all, she would never be able to see his smile again. The tears continue to fall down her face at a quicker pace, as her eyes where shadowed by her hair.
"You stupid fool." Sabine whispered, as she cried over the death of the boy she loved.
Well guys I hoped you enjoyed reading this chapter as much as I did writing it. Also to inform you guys, I was wondering if you would think of this as a crossover, since I'm adding characters from Star Wars The Clone Wars in this story like Ahsoka and clone troopers Rex and Echo along with many more. Finally while Luke and Leia will appear in my version of the trilogy, Padame will be died as revealed later in the story, while Anakin and Ahsoka will be a pairing in my story.
