Prelude

The Two Doctors?

The tardis had vanished once more and Rose bowed her head her hand still entwined with the new Doctor. The human doctor her heart was hammering and she could feel it beating though his hand and into hers. She turned to him unsure feeling completely and utterly unsure and he looked at her with those eyes. The ones that seemed to peer into her very soul. Jackie shifted in the background, "I'm gonna go call your dad." She called but Rose couldn't hear her she was staring at this new wonder. The half human half time lord that Donna had created.

"Is this what you want?" Rose asked him her voice shaky when sure Jackie had moved away, the doctor smiled down reassuringly at her pulling her into a tight embrace the wind blowing in all directions it seemed but she didn't care. She held onto him tight afraid she might fall of the world if she let go. She couldn't get her head around this. Here she was not alone anymore with the Doctor. But her Doctor…the real Doctor the one she had fallen in love with was out there still alone.

"It's what I've wanted since the day I met you…" He whispered, "When I grabbed your hand and told you to run." Rose swallowed hard looking him in the eyes, "I love you Rose Tyler." Tears filled her eyes and she kissed him again this time more hungrily her arms draped around his neck her chest rising and falling as she breathed through her nose. The Doctor had his hands on the small of her back pulling her close to him, so close they almost felt like one body. One entity. He was her responsibility now and she'd make sure she saved him. The way she had saved the Doctor and the way The Doctor had saved her.

"I love you too." She muttered pulling back and glancing subconsciously at the spot where the Tardis had vanished. So much had happened, so much pain and suffering…she'd got what she wanted. Her love to come to life once more, "What are we going to do?"

"First off I need a name." He said with a slightly wicked smile on his face, "I love this part…picking a name. It's always fun." She laughed and squeezed him tight, feeling more at ease. More at peace with herself than she had since the day that she had been separated from him, since the last time she had stood on this beach on the worst day of her life.

"It needs to be something catchy." She said thoughtfully her hand on his chest enjoying the way his heart beat in such a fantastic rhythm. It was strange but she had never really thought about a persons heart beat before this one was just different. It was almost like a drum beat, that continually sent blood flowing through his body. Human blood.

"How about…" Time seemed to stand still and Rose looked up at him all thoughts of the other Doctor vanishing as she felt that heart beating so constant and safe, never changing, "Harold Saxon?" Rose looked slightly dazed as she thought about it… Harold Saxon…

"And here I thought you'd go for John Smith." She said with a small laugh, The Doctor smiled and looked at where the Tardis had vanished his eyes gleaming.

"I think Saxon will have more of an impact…don't you?"
