A/n: Written for the Investment Building Challenge where I had to write about Andromeda.
The pain is worth it, Andromeda thinks as a pink blanket is placed in her arms. She glances down at the life that she and Ted made. Her eyes are closed as she sleeps, a head full of dark hair is peaking out from a hat. "She's perfect," she murmurs.
Ted makes a sound of agreement from where he's standing. He's wearing a proud smile. "We did." He reaches out toward the pink bundle. "We should name her Nymphadora," he tells his wife. "She looks just as beautiful as the Wood Nymphs from Greek mythology."
Andromeda runs a finger down the baby's cheek. She's amazed by how beautiful this little girl is and thinks that the name is perfect. "Hello, Nymphadora Tonks."
The dark hair under the pink hat brightens. "A metamorphmagus," she says surprised. Metamorphmagus is a rare ability; Nymphadora's going to be special. She turns to Ted. "She's truly a miracle."
"Does that mean she likes her name?" Ted asks.
Andromeda laughs for the first time since labor started.
Together, they watch quietly as the hair continues to change until it settles on a bubblegum pink hours later. Between Nymphadora and Ted, Andromeda is truly and blessedly happy.
