~**Ten Years Ago**~

It so cold…

Pure white….snow

Why is it so white?

What is snow?

It's…not supposed to be red

So where is all this red coming…

From?

I glanced up from my gloved hands, the white snow slipping through my thin, delicate fingers.

The snow was drifting and surfacing on the pearl, white landscape.

I was the only figure standing in the vast sea of deep, dominating snow.

But that was until a tall, lean silhouette, wearing a thick, chocolate brown coat. He walked towards me, his hands deep into his pockets and his neck buried into a warm, white scarf.

"Little girl, what are you doing here?" he hissed, his voice cracked and low

I didn't know what to say, how to reply or what I should have done.

My eyes bulged as I saw his crimson eyes, bulging and glaring into me, like he was visually consuming my soul and his sharp, pointy fangs, poking out from his mouth.

My throat was dry, my voice lost and my body frozen.

"Just a sip…" he whispered, lowering himself towards me.

Within seconds his body flung away from me, landing onto the endless sea of snow, dotted with blood. His neck was broken, detached from his head and his body limp.

A boy, around his teenage years, had a deep brown coloured, messy hair which touched his shoulders, crimson eyes that sparkled with elegancy and pale skin. His hands were stained with the vampire's blood which he licked away, his pink worm-like tongue cleaning away the mess.

"Are you okay?" he questioned, bending down to offer his other hand to me.

I placed my gloved hand into his, letting the sudden wind pick up and the snow whirl around crazily.

All was blurred, this was my beginning, my first memory and the boy, Kaname, the person who saved me.
