Chapter 1
An Unexpected Surprise
"Harry, you can't leave! Not with the babies coming." said a tearful Hermione
"But Angel, it's a very important job. If I could find someone could cover for me use them. But Ron has to stay with Luna, and Draco with Ginny. Who else could cover for me?" Said Harry who was getting frustrated.
" What about Neville? Or Dean or any of your other friends from school? Please, you've got to find someone else." Shouted Hermione
" I'm trying Kitten. I'll go vist them now. Now stay put. I'll be back soon." said Harry who was putting on his coat.
It ws after seventh year. Harry and Hermione had gotten married. Hermione was pregnant with twins along with Luna and Ginny. He was the auror he had always dreamed of. So were all his friends from Hogwarts. Hermione was due in five days. The job would take seven. He couldn't miss it.
Sweetheart, I found someone! Neville said he'd cover for me. Isn't that great?" Said Harry
"Great, now can you take me to St. Mungo's NOW?" Screamed Hermione who was in a lot of pain.
Harry apparated with her in his arms. When they got there Ginny and Luna had already had their babies. Ginny and Draco had twin girls named Alisabeth and Claire. Luna and Ron had twin boys. They named them Kyle and Harry. It was a wonderful sight. Pretty soon there would be two more newborns in that room.
One hour later Harry and Hermione's twins were born. They hadd a boy and a girl named Lily and James. They were cute and cuddly newborns. Harry fell asleep with Lily in his arms. Ron Took a picture of it and framed it for Hermione.
" The next day back at the Potter Estate, Lily and James Harry's parents and Catherine and David Hermione's parents came to see their grandchildren. They fell in love with the twins right away. Harry could tell, they would be spoiled. By all of them. It would be great being a father. He just knew it.
Suddenly, Great Grandpa Merlin appeared along with Remus, Sirius, Professors Dumbledore and McGonagoll appeared in the living room. They wanted to see the new baby Potter's. After a feast prepared by Harry and Hermione, everyone said their goodbyes and left.
Finally , we have Lily and Jamie all to ourselves." said Hermione
Harry agreed. He loved playing with the babies. They fed, burped and changed the twins. Harry and Hermione decided it was time for bed. They took the sleeping newborns into the nursery. Each baby had a blanket with their names on it in their cribs.
Ten minutes later, Harry and Hermione were getting ready for bed when Neville's head appeared in the fire." Harry we need you to come and help us track down Crabbe and Goyle. They escapped from Azkaban. You're the only one who can help us now." Neville said
"But Hermione just had the twins. She'll need me to stay here with her. If it was any other time I could come." said Harry
I'll be fine. Your mom can help me. Really I'll be fine. They need you at work don't they Neville." asked Hermione
"Yeah they do Hermione." said Neville
"Alright, when do you need me to come?" asked Harry
"Now, Right away." said Neville
Harry went over to the closet and put on his work robes. When he was done he went into the nursery and gave his beautiful babies a kiss. He whispered" I love you babies. Daddy will be home soon." Hermione was standing in the doorway, with tears tolling down her cheeks. "Kitten I'll miss you so much. I wish I didn't have to go. But Crabbe and Goyle escaped and" Hermione cut him off with a kiss.
" Neville said to meet him at headquarters." she said
Hermione could tell he didn't want to leave by the look in his eyes. "Prince, I'll be fine your mom will help me. I know it.
" I love you so much. I won't stop thinking about you or our beautiful children." he said while hugging her.
"I love you Too! Now you need to go to work." she said
With one last goodbye he apparated.
