CHAPTER ONE - SWEET AND LOW.

"The rain is gonna fall, the sun is gonna shine. The wind is gonna blow, the water's gonna rise.
She said, when that day comes, look into my eyes, no one's givin' up quite yet, we've go too much to lose"

He stood in what seemed to be a painful awe as she placed the small silver T plated necklace in his hand for what would now be the 3rd time that day. Each time before this he had shoved it back in her hand insisting she kept it, but this time the look in her eyes was clear, he had to let go, he had to let her go. It was an unspoken agreement, of which they had decided after weeks of painful analysis.. They just weren't in high school anymore, and with two different dreams and two different views on their futures, one was bound to get hurt. That one being Troy.

Gabriella as much as she loved troy had come to the conclusion a while ago that something's while great in moderation, just aren't exactly so great when put into the routine of everyday life. And while the plan had been after high school to go on as they were, those plans soon changed when the reality of what they were doing settled in on her. She was a young 18 year old girl, with what seemed to be the world at her feet, quite literally actually, and there was really no way that she could let something as small in scale as a high school relationship get in the way of her budding future, nor in the way of her trip to France. No, somehow she managed to dispose of the idea of their relationship just as quickly as it had come about..

Maybe it was because she was a logical thinker, fixed with theories and hypothesis, or maybe it came down to the fact she just didn't know true love.

As they stood in his small cluttered dorm room, filled with boxes and boxes of high school wildcat memorabilia mostly belonging to his best friend and roommate Chad, the realisation set in even more clearly that they had well and truly out grown each other, or more she had well and truly out grown him, and in the making, managed to grow a stick up her ass.. But the point was, on this cold and windy Friday night, it was finally time to say Goodbye… And so she did.

"Sharpay Honey, are you ready to go?" Vance Evans asked his 17 year old daughter as they concluded putting in the last of their boxes into the already over packed station wagon sitting by the side of the road. "yeah, give me a sec, I just want to take one last look and then I'll be right there." muttered his daughter as she took her headphones out of her ears, instead letting them hang loosely around her neck.

"so this is what it comes down to.." she said with a wistful sigh, taking in the last views of the house they had come to somehow call home. It wasn't amazingly huge and it wasn't breath takingly beautiful, but the towering oak trees and the crisp smell of summer made it as much of a home as she'd ever need.. Yes, she'd seen this day coming for a long while, Infact she'd seen this day coming for around two and half years, but all through the divorce and settlement it seemed like more of a far off dream that you knew would never actually happen, then a reality. Still now, there was no denying it.. Somewhere along the lines that dream had turned into a reality, and somewhere between the 1025kilometers to their new house and new life, she was going to take control of her future.

Hello! Alright, its been way way way to long since I've written a fan fiction, but see I made this trailer thing, and then my friend somehow talked me into writing something for it.. So you can blame Brooke and Coliee for this one right here. Haha, but please review and tell me what you think.

If it gets any good reviews, well we'll see where it leads us wont we?
