Major Samantha Carter took a deep breath and entered the lab. She was hoping that he wouldn't be there, but, he was.

Doctor Michael Lee was sat infront of his computer. He looked up, smiling, and then saw her. His face fell, and he looked like he was preparing himself for another argument.

She put on her best Carter smile – the one that worked on 99.9% of the guys in the universe, and ventured further inside. "Hi."

"Hi."

"I came to apologise," She began. "Uh, I was really bitchy to you, and I'm sorry."

Doctor Lee looked pleasantly surprised, and he returned her smile. "I understand that you were stressed. And I know that you were thinking it was your fault. So, I'm sorry too. We both could have handled things a little better."

"Right," she nodded. "Well, sorry. And now I've said that, I'm going to go down to the infirmary. The Colonel's teltak landed around three minutes ago," she said, beginning to make her way towards the door. "Goodnight, doctor."

"Night."

She felt better, now. That was one weight off of her shoulder. But as she walked down to the Infirmary, she couldn't get rid of the guilt about letting Maybourne get her weapon.

She arrived in the infirmary to find Janet checking the colonel out. He was tired, and quite stinky, but he was complaining, and cracking jokes, so she knew right away he was all right. He saw her and grinned. "Hey!"

"Hey!"

"Hey, I'll get out of here," Janet smiled, walking off with her chart. "Rest, Colonel."

"Yes ma'am, gladly," Jack snapped a casual salute and lay back on the bed. "Carter!"

"Colonel, how are you?" Sam asked, although she knew the answer. It would be peachy, as always.

"Peachy. You?" He asked, pointing to the chair beside the bed. She smiled and sat down. Jack rolled on to his side so that he could see her better. "You look exhausted. Don't tell me you spent all this time in the lab like the whole...Edora thing?"

"No...it was on the planet," she shrugged. "Sorry you couldn't get out sooner."

There was a pause, and she sighed and looked down at her hands. He studied her face, and rolled his eyes. "Listen, Sam, you know it wasn't your fault, right? I mean, the last time you saw Maybourne he was saving your life. You thought he'd changed."

"I just didn't...I didn't see that coming," she sniffed. "I'm sorry Colonel, I shouldn't have let him get my weapon."

"Look, I'm telling you it wasn't your fault," he said again, sitting up. He reached out and put a hand on her shoulder. "It's good to see you. I knew you'd find a way to get me home. It really wasn't your fault, I don't blame you. Now gimmie a hug – the closest I've had to human contact in three or four weeks was a snake."

"There were snakes on that planet?" She asked, standing up. He put his arms around her.

"Maybourne," He replied. "Now, are we agreed...you won't blame yourself? I mean, I can name a dozen instances where I let someone grab my weapon or trick me and you ended up lost or captured."

"Okay, sir," she nodded, smiling. He let go and lay back down. He got the feeling, however, that she still felt guily.

"Hey, could you go grab me some jello? I'm not allowed to leave..." He requested, knowing that it would probably make her feel better to do something for him. "Blue, please. And get one for yourself, you need it."

"Yes sir." She grinned, as she walked down the corridor. It really was good to have him back.
