Happy valentine
I wake up like every other day in my apartment I'm just like any other bachelor. Once I shower and get dressed I go and wake up my daughter Clarissa she says "da-d do I need to get up" then I remember she had been at a club until all hours so I say "no need but be up by one that's when Madeline is coming" she pulls her sheets over her head and I realize I can leave. When I get out into the living room I pick up a scrapbook and flip through it the page I stop on has a picture of my family of Clarissa, her brother and her mother. I fled Idris with clary when I found out that my wife Jocelyn was planning a mass rebellion of shadow hunter against the clave. Madeline had fled with me because her husband had been ensnared in Jocelyn's mass rebellion which turned into a mass slaughter. My cellphone starts ringing so I take it out of my pocket and look at the number it says unknown I answer thinking it was a campaign call but what I hear on the other end is shocking the voice its Jocelyn she says "hello valentine" the she just hangs up. If she knows my phone number she must know where I live. I call Madeline and tell her to come over right away and she does. When she gets to the apartment she says "are you sure it was Jocelyn I thought she was dead" my reply "I thought so too" clary comes out of her room and says "dad ,aunt Madeline do you know anyone named Jonathan Christopher Fairchild I met him in pandemonium last night he says he knows you". We are both shocked Jonathan Christopher is my son but he had stayed with his mother were they both in New York I hope not. When we are all sitting in the family room clary says "hey dad, aunt Madeline what's a shadow hunter "Madeline looks at me worried and I say "clary where did you learn that word" she replies "last night the Jonathan boy told me about it then he drew this on my arm" she holds her arm out and on it is a rune that I have never seen before. Madeline takes out her phone and dials maryse our friend from the institute. I can hear her on the phone she says "are you two sure it was them the clave thinks they died in the rebellion" this morning I had been smiling but now just a few hours later I was at the verge of tears.
