Bug induced gore

Rico was wondering why. Why were the bugs being fanatical? Why was there fifty times more bugs then on klandatheu(sp)? Why here on the edge of bug territory? He got his answer when an anomaly was found there was an old temple like structure in the middle of the bugs but they were avoiding the place like it was unfit for themselves.

So that was why they were walking through the temple and what they saw scared them all. All around them was massive statues and pictures showing a massive beetle attacking what could be the planets old inhabitants.

Looking over at his old friend Carl he thought about why he was here. Apparently the bugs thought of this as a 'holy place' and there was also that the bugs were different from what they have ever fought before.

Rico was broken from his musings when he spotted a statue. "well I think we found out what this temple for." spoke Carl looking upon the statue. It showed an life-size arachnid warrior bigger then they ever seen stand in a defensive stance. The only reason they knew it was life size was because of the women that riding it's back.

"sirs we just found something" spoke a trooper causing both men to turn just in time to watch the man being killed by a tanker sized warrior! "Ah shit! open fire! Open fire!" They sound of gunfire and screams filled the air as the unit opened fire on the tanker sized warrior running to where the man was killed both friends stepped into a massive chamber.

Picking up two rifles Rico and Carl opened fire blasting away at the massive bugs legs blowing them apart before it finally fell down next what looked to be a table but when both men got near the creature and table they relished that it was actually a coffin. Looking over at the bug as it wheezed Rico recognized it as the warrior from the statue.

Looking closer at the bug and at the nerve stem where the bug see it looked to show sadness and regret? "Carl are you see-" "yeah. Yeah I am." both men spoke as they saw the eye and Carl felt the sadness coming off it when all of a sudden they herd in there minds "I'll show you her life and the history of this planet as my final thing in this world." Rico And Carl knew it was the bug speaking to them befor all went black.
