A/N:
Yes yes, I am writing a one-shot for Twilight. Twilight, of all books. Now I want to tell you Twifans, I don't like Twilight's MAIN characters whatsoever. Bella is a bland and boring mary-sue, and Edward is a superman wannabe. So yeah, they're pretty much perfect together. Now I'm here to write a story on one of the ONLY decent characters in the book- that would be Alice. She's quite a unique and likable character, and I was pretty pissed off when she wasn't developed more. Seriously, she should have been the main character. So anyway, on with the story. By the way, this does contain mild traces of Jacob/Alice friendship. I wish Jacob would have been developed more too, he seemed kinda interesting- and not just because he could take his shirt off. Seriously Meyer?

~Ink Splatters~

Twirling the ink pen between her fingertips, she sighed.

Alice had always kept a journal for her own reasons, one of them being so that she could also look into her own past, not just the future. It allowed her to keep track of her past life- a long life at that- and look back at all of the events she had been through. Important event to sad events, family events to dreams she had. Recurring dreams, that clouded her memory and refused to be fully remembered.

Yes, dreams she almost remembered. All she remembered was the heat of a raging fire, and people blaming her and shunning her very existence. People whispering, and those words that were ushered circling around in her head, and not ceasing their burn on her heart. And then, with that dream almost coming into a clear knowledge- she would wake up in a cold sweat.

As the ink splattered on the page as she wrote, she ran a hand through her pixie-bob style hair.

The curls of each delicate 't' and 'g' and any other tails on the ends of the letters that were lucky to have tails, were defined by the thick black trailing it left behind. Each word written had it's own unique back story, one story that Alice knew she would never be able to truly fathom. Maybe at some point in her eternal-lasting life, but no time soon.

"...Why can't I remember anything?" The light had began to dim outside, so then she could wander the trails of the forest, smell the damp of the autumn leaves saturated in the rain that pelted down previously, and pretty much anything she were able to do that cold December. She felt herself going slightly hungry, but she was more able to control her hunger for the taste of human blood.

Which lead her to another, rather interesting trace-over in her life.

Befriending the werewolf Jacob.

When she first acquainted with him...it had been a rocky start. After all, she was a vampire, himself a werewolf- natural born enemies from the start. Destined for a life of fighting and watching over the shoulder, just in case the other one attacked without any premise. But it had not been that way, at least until Bella came in.

Somehow, her presence helped to calm the feud. Somehow.

Now, she was able to tolerate- no, fully comply with his presence. She could even go to the stretch of calling him a friend, but perhaps that was a bit of a stretch for now. So for the while, she would merely call him a friendly acquaintance. But being one of the more cheerful Cullen-family members, she hoped to call him a friend soon enough.

Scribbling down more words, she sighed. Her long life was complicated.

But in these past years, it had been a good one.

A/N: Now, I have read a few small snippets of Twilight. And I don't care if this is crap. I won't come back to it, this piece was just a spur-of-the-moment.
