"Hello love." Remus said as he walked into the room to find his mate and husband of 4 years sound asleep. "Hm you look so peaceful when you sleep." He said stroking fingers through oily black hair.

"Remus." Severus mumbled in his sleep leaning into the touch. The other laughed at him before climbing into bed. He turned over to Remus and nuzzled closer. He when arms wrapped around him.

"So cute."

"'M not cute." Tired black eyes opened to glare at him.

"Yes you are." Was teased in a sing song voice.

"No, now shut up and go to sleep it's …" Turns to clock. "1:20 in the morning! Why are we still up?"

"Sorry night Sev. Love you." A kiss to the cheek.

"Night wolf. Love you too."

"I'm going out to town to get some ingredients." Severus said pulling on his cloak. He was pulled into a quick kiss.

"Be careful love."

"HELP!" Severus heard from an alley way. "SOMEONE HELP ME!" He rounded the corner and hexed the 5 men surrounding a young boy. The boy had light brown hair with black highlights, brown eyes so dark they looked black, and he wore tattered clothes.

"What is your name?" He asked squatting down to the boy's level.

"Maxwell S-no last name. Thank you for saving me Mr. …"

"Lupin, Severus Lupin. Now why where they attacking you?" He asked standing up. Maxwell sighed and pulled up his pants leg to reveal a bite-mark.

"It happened two months ago. They said they were going to take me to someone to help but they flung me over their shoulder and I started screaming." Severus picked him up "What?"

"Silence child I am trying to take you somewhere safe where you can be properly cared for." He snapped adjusting Maxwell so he was giving him a piggyback ride. The boy's head slumped against his back. "Are you tired?" Maxwell nodded. "Sleep."

Since he returned with Maxwell, the boy got into a bath with him sitting on the other side of the door, and Draco and Harry stopped by.

"So do you prefer Maxwell or Max?" Draco said leaning towards the boy.

"Maxwell. Are you and the other guy a couple?" Maxwell asked before playing with the hem of his forest green sweater. Draco blushed and nodded. "That's nice."

"Would you like to go to the park?" Harry asked.

"Yes! Yes, yes please." Maxwell cheered forgetting why he was there.

"We'll take him shopping too." Draco added with a wink as Harry helped the boy slip black boots over khaki pants. As soon as the door was closed Severus was pinned to the couch.
