Maura wandered back into the bedroom, taking in the sight of the sleeping detective sprawled out on her bed. In an effort to apparently emulate a starfish, the brunette had managed to spread her limbs to cover every corner of the now messy bed during the time it had taken Maura to go to the bathroom and freshen up. The doctor sighed, the sight of a naked Jane Rizzoli in her bed, even in such a strange sleeping position, was more than she had ever imagined possible. Glancing at the clock on her bedside table, the softly glowing numbers telling her it was time that most people ate dinner, the honey blonde decided that a little post-coitus snack couldn't hurt. Snatching Jane's white button-up shirt off the floor, she pulled it on, rolling up the sleeves to compensate for the detective's significantly longer limbs.
Jane woke up to the smell of something amazing cooking downstairs. She sat up, looking around the room, confused for a minute as to why she was sleeping, alone, in Maura's bed. Oh God, what happened? And then she remembered. Everything. The desperate kisses, whispered confessions, gentle touches. She had slept with Maura. Dr. Maura Isles had slept with her. They had sex. A smile grew on the detective's face until it manifested in a full-blown smirk. She had finally told Maura her feelings, and consummated years of pent-up, thinly-veiled flirtation. And now Maura was downstairs, cooking her dinner. Could life get any better? Probably not. Picking up her black boy shorts off the floor, she put them on, and wandered into the guest room to get a t-shirt to put on before going downstairs.
The sight that greeted the detective as she strolled into the kitchen stopped the normally cocky detective in her tracks. Maura, standing in front of the stove, stirring a pot of something that smelled heavenly, wearing nothing but Jane's crisp white button-up shirt from earlier that day. When the honey blonde reached up to get something from the cabinet the shirt lifted, revealing a lacy pair of red panties. The brunette was pretty sure red and white was her new favorite color combination.
