The Jinjo Chronicles: Ice cream
It was a perfect day in Jinjo village. The sun was shining on the grassy plain, and everything was crystal clear. Two jinjos were going to get ice cream that day. Their names were Cyrus and Melanie. Cyrus was the average blue jinjo that loved to observe everything. Melanie was a red jinjo who liked anything and everything. Both of them were arguing about which ice cream was the best.
Cyrus: "Plain Vanilla!" Melanie: "Bubblegum with extra fudge!"
"No!" Cyrus retaliated; "the good ice cream has no toppings! And beside, your taste buds are weird!"
"No they're not!" Melanie shot back, "And other than that, you like ketchup on your pickles!"
"And you like yours dipped in chocolate!"
Both of them were so busy arguing, the passed the Old Tyme Ice Cream Shoppe and walked into a net full of other jinjos, not realizing that they were caught up in a scheme to restore an evil (not to mention old) witch's beauty.
Later that day………
"I want ice cream!"
"I want taffy!"
"I want my mommy!"
The chorus of jinjo children continued screeching their wants in the dimly lit lair.
"Ughhhhh!!" Grunty screamed. (She had long given up her rhyming streak.)
"If I didn't need this much youth, I'd incinerate all of you! But ill have to wait until I've charged up enough power" the evil witch cackled. Grunty left the room leaving a monster in charge.
The jinjos whined on and on and on and on (dispatching the monster) until Cyrus said, "I know! We'll sneak out of this place with frat boy party on our tails!"
"Why didn't you think of this earlier?" Melanie whispered.
"I was watching a fly." Cyrus answered.
All of them broke through the bars and trashed as many things as they could. Our heroes ran out and fled back to the town. Some others got the hint and came with them.
The next day………
"Wow everyone's back" Melanie stated. You'd think they got recaptured or something"
"I know, I wonder if Grunty fig-" Cyrus's sentence was cut short by a large-
Boooommmmmm!!
A haggard voice declared, "Where are those two troublemakers?! I shall personally squish them for ruining my lair!"
Grunty stepped out of the dust, her palm cradling a ball of magic, and swung it at Cyrus. He dodged and threw a surprisingly large boulder at Grunty. She shot it back, unfazed. Melanie tilted her head back and gave a shrill scream; deafening everyone who wasn't of her kind, stunning the witch. Cyrus tossed another boulder at the woman, finally pinning her down. The other jinjos saw this and cheered, knowing that it's over.
"So, what do you want to do now?" Cyrus said.
"Let's go get ice cream!"
The end
Under the cover of darkness, an eerie green glow came from under a boulder, slowly wearing away at its edges………
