EPB: This is a B-day fic for Naruto. Senceless fluff really.
Shora: Oh your so sweet, you do have a heart after all.
EPB: WILL YOU SHUT UP!
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Neji watched his cousin with questioning eyes as she busied herself around the kitchen.
"Hinata, what are you doing?" he asked. Hinata jumped and turned to him blushing.
"O-oh, n-noth-thing..." she poked her fingers together, blushing redder.
"Uh huh. Why are you covered in flour then?" he asked grinning slightly as she turned redder...if that was possible.
"I-I was j-just making N-naruto a cake. Today's his birthday." she told him. "But, I-I d-don't know how..." she added quietly.
"I can help." Neji offered. He walked into the kitchen.
"R-really?" Hinata asked. Inner Hinata was cheering louder than Naruto could even yell.
"Sure. I still don't understand why you like that loser, but it's not really my place to question you on it." Neji took an apron from a cabinet close to the door and put it on.
"Thank you nii-san!" Hinata threw her arms around his neck. Neji stumbled back in surprise.
"No problem." He said when she let go. "Now let's get to work." Hinata nodded in agreement.
Two hours later after they had cleaned up, they looked at the finished cake. It had orange frosting, with 'Happy Birthday Naruto!' written in blue. It also had a little chibi fox under the writting.
"Thank you so much nii-san." Hinata said smiling.
"No problem, now all you have to do is give it to him." he told her. Hinata blushed.
"Y-you t-think he'll l-like it?" she asked.
"Of course he will. If not, you can always shove it down his throat." Neji said shrugging. "You better get going."
"R-right..." Hinata said. She put the cake in a box and tied a ribbon around it.
She made it to Naruto's apartment in about thirty minutes...It would have been faster if Kiba hadn't of stoped her to ask about the box.
She knocked on the door shyly and waited. She could hear bumps coming from inside and Naruto yelling something along the lines of, "I'm coming! or "Hold on!".
Naruto opened the door and grinned.
"Hey Hinata! Need something?" he asked.
"O-oh...U-uh, H-happy b-birt-thday, N-naruto..." she said, holding up the box. Naruto grinned wider and took the box.
"Thanks Hinata! What is it?" He opened the box and looked inside. His grin turned into a smile when he saw the cake. "Thank you Hinata! I can't wait to taste it!" Naruto set the cake on a table by the door and hugged her.
"N-naruto!" Hinata gasped. Naruto let her go and steped back.
"Come in! We can have a piece!" hinatan took a small step in, and Naruto pulled her in the rest of the way. They made their way to his tiny kitchen having to kick piles of garbage and clothes out of the way.
When they got to the kitchen Naruto cut the cake and gave Hinata and himself a slice.
"That was great Hinata!" Naruto said when they were done.
"Thank you.." Hinata blushed. Naruto looked at her.
"Hinata you got frosting on you cheek." Naruto pointed to his cheek, indicating where it was. Hinata wiped her cheek with a napkin.
"Is it off?" She asked.
"No, a little more to the left." After a few more tries, Naruto gave up. He leaned over a pecked her cheek lightly. He leaned back and smiled. "There all gone."
Hinata was to embarrassed to talk.
EPB: There. It's done, now that thing is out of my mind.
Ja ne!
