Eddie's POV
I sat on the couch with my French notes open in front of me. I sighed impatiently, wishing my iPod would charge faster so I wouldn't have to study in silence. Just as I began to read over my vocabulary list for the tenth time in that hour, I heard heels hitting against the floor boards and approaching where I was seated. I looked over the side of the couch and spotted Patricia walking towards the couch. She sighed loudly in disgust when she saw me.
"Oh, god. You're here." She said grimacing.
"Can't say I enjoy your presence either." I retorted. She waved me off as she sat on the chair that sat beside the couch. She opened her notebook up and pulled her iPod and headphones out of her pocket.
"Just let me study in peace, yeah?" She called as she unraveled her headphones. I didn't acknowledge her last statement and went back to studying. Just as I began my routine of reading through the vocabulary again, I heard soft music playing. I looked over to see Patricia's music blasting through the headphones, her foot tapping the air with the beat.
I listened to the familiar beats as they played loudly. My eyes widened in amazement as I stared at Patricia and identified the band as Sick Puppies. She listened to Sick Puppies? I looked her over, memorizing the curve of her legs through those black leggings. I noticed the way her hair framed her face and I realized something: She was actually attractive! A girl who's strong-headed, attractive, funny and listened to Sick Puppies? She seemed almost date-able.
"What are you staring at, Cockroach?" She asked in a repulsed tone, ripping the headphones from her ears. I shook my head, shaking myself from my thoughts. I gathered myself and looked her square in the eye.
"Just sizing up the enemy, Yacker."
Just a tiny drabble that came to mind. This is before they really got to know each other, if you didn't get that much. Review please? Thanks! x.
