Yes there are two stories, but this is more of a drabble. . .

It was only a little while after Kido became a couple with Konoha that she realized how gently he dealt with her.

Whenever he kissed her it was so soft that if she hadn't been holding onto his shirt she could have sworn she was just kissing air. Even the kisses he ran across her chin and neck felt light and airy. And when his fingers brushed against her cheek, her neck, her hand, or even through her hair, it felt like he was trying not to break her while at the same time being a loving gesture. Like she was made of glass and one wrong move would shatter her.

Sometimes at night when she could feel Konoha pressing up against her back while they slept, she'd feel his arms wrap protectively around her stomach and him burying his head between her shoulder blades. Though she rather liked the protective feeling it brought.

Even so, Kido couldn't help, but try and provoke him in some way. She'd kiss him a little harder than normal. Nip roughly at his lower lip. She'd pull out his ponytail and tangle her fingers through his soft white hair. She even tried to tried to coax his tongue to play with her own while kissing him one time. But his reaction was always the same; he was calm and guarded and gentle. He would kiss her back softly. Let her nip at his lip. He'd gently cup the back of her head or trail his fingers through her hair. He even tried nudging his tongue back at hers, though both of them were inexperienced, so the action was rather sloppy. It wasn't like any of the gentleness was a bad thing, it just made Kido wonder a bit.

"Konoha?" Kido whispered. In the faint moonlight peeking through the curtains and with a fair amount of squinting she could just make out his face in the dark. She saw his eyes flutter open.

"Hmm?" he asked sleepily.

Kido didn't know exactly what she was supposed to say. Her thoughts had just been wandering and she spoke out just by pure thought. "Um, it's nothing." Kido muttered slightly embarrassed.

She felt Konoha slip his hand in hers underneath the bed covers. "It's alright, you can say anything. I don't mind."

"I-I just wanted to know. . . Why? Why do you. . . Do you treat me like- like I'm so fragile?" It was somewhat of a direct question.

"Because," Konoha leaned over to place another one of his gentle kisses on her lips, "I love you and I just don't want you to get hurt."
