Honestly I loved my team and knew that we had each other's back but right now I would give anything to have them gone. Tonight was suppose to be just me and my girlfriend, well technically we weren't calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend, we were just 'having fun', but I didn't need the label to know how I felt about her. If we could just tell people about us, I would not have to sit and watch as A.C. was obviously flirting with Chloe. I began to question why I hadn't hired more girls, or at least less handsome guys. Hearing Chloe laugh at whatever A.C. was saying, I narrowed my eyes as I glared at my former friend.
"Uh, bossman?" Bart's voice questioned, interrupting my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I replied, only briefly taking my eyes off the scene before me.
"Victor was asking you about the plans for this mission." I looked back at the two of them to find that they were looking at me with raised eyebrows. I remembered vaguely that before I had become distracted we were talking about our entrance plan for the follow night. I was about to answer when my attention was again brought to the other two blonds. A.C. had stepped closer to her, probably under the guise that he was trying to read something on her screen and had placed his hand on the back of her chair.
That was all it took for me to leave my currently position, giving no response to Bart or Victor. I'm sure they had questions about my behaviour, but at the moment I really didn't care. I arrived in time to hear A.C. ask Chloe if she wanted to get dinner sometime. I caught her blushing and before she could respond I let them both know I was there.
"That sounds like a good idea A.C., the team needs a good night out."
"Ollie!" Chloe cried and maybe I was being hopeful but I swear I saw her relax a little. A.C. on the other hand was giving me a look I wasn't quite sure I could classify.
"Hate to break things up here, but I was hoping to talk to you Chloe." I was fighting not to kiss her right there and stake my claim, but then she would be furious.
"No worries Oliver" A.C. smirked. I was seriously tempted to knock it off his face. "We'll talk later Chloe" A.C. stated as he turned towards her again. 'Hell no, that's not happening' I thought before I took the plunge, deciding the consequences were worth it. I cupped her cheek, turning her mouth towards me and placed a possessive kiss on her mouth. She was a bit surprised at first but I felt her slowly responding. After making my point I pulled away, turning to A.C.
"We might be a little busy later." This time it was my turn to smirk. I looked back at Chloe who still seemed a little stunned by my sudden action, so I took that chance to grab her hand and pull her towards the bedroom.
Back in the main room the three other members of the team were still processing what just happened.
"Told you." A.C. grinned confidently "You owe me twenty." Bart handed over the money as Victor just shook his head.
