She looked stunning when she slept.

Her blonde hair was tossed across her shoulders, as she lay on her back. Her lips were pursed even in slumber, but her face was relaxed. His only disappointment was that her piercing blue eyes were covered. She smelled like lavender and peaches. He sighed. He should've left in the middle of the night, but she had wanted him to stay. She hadn't asked; sometimes he just knew. Besides, that strange fuzzy, warm feeling had crawled up into his cold heart once again. It always did whenever he was around her.

He pulled her into his chest and she subconsciously curled into him, letting a sigh escape from her perfect lips. He liked her. A lot. That frightened him and The Joker was never afraid. But Harley brought out Jack; his old self. Jack Napier could love and care for another person. He had met her at University and they had become the Clown Prince and Princess of crime together. He looked at her now, curled into his side. He would never hurt her. That definitely worried him. He had thought about being rid of her, killing her, leaving her, but every time he thought against it. He needed his Harley. She gave him hope and she had shown him the world. He owed it to her to keep her alive. She began to stir.

"Mmmmmm," She mumbled, "Stop staring at me and sleep, hmm?"

She smiled up at him and kissed the corner of his mouth. She rested her head on his shoulder and pressed her face into his neck.

He chuckled. "I slept for five hours, that's enough," He muttered.

She laughed softly and her breath tickled his neck. "Hah, that's a record."

"You help me sleep," He looked down at her and nodded.

She sighed and raised her head to look at him. She smiled and traced his scars with her fingers. "You should stay the night more often."

He smirked. "I'm becoming too attached," He joked. She giggled and smiled with her teeth up at him.

"Don't make me laugh," She mused, "I've had you wrapped around my finger from day one."

"That's the problem," He muttered. He kissed her lips and trailed from them down to her jawline.

"Jack," Harley mumbled.

"Yes?" He replied.

She kissed his naked chest and closed her eyes. "I love you," She whispered.

He pressed his lips to her ear and mumbled the words back.

"I'll have to leave soon. I have business with Ryder today," He spoke.

"Mmhmm," She sighed. "Just wake me up before you go, you always leave some dumbass note and then I miss your stupid ass."

He laughed aloud as he replied, "You love my notes," He kissed her forehead and started to rise from the bed when she pressed her hand onto his toned abdomen.

"Stay for just a-" She was interrupted by a yawn. "little longer…."

He looked at her and contemplated it. She looked lovely in the early morning light. She stretched and mewled.

"Please?" She asked. Harley gave him a sleepy glance. "You keep me warm."

"Is that the only reason you want me to stay?" Jack asked sarcastically.

He smirked at her as she replied,"Yupp, only reason." She was smiling cheekily.

"Liar," He mumbled as he lay back down next to her. He cradled her again.

He smiled as she sighed contentedly. He could handle lying in bed all morning with his Harley. Besides, he loved the feeling of euphoria she gave him.
