||Prologue~

The darkness engulfed him. Towering walls of fire were pressing in on him from every direction. His legs had been turned to lead; thin pale limbs shaking uncontrollably. A dark hooded figure swept past the place where he stood, the ashy wind that followed it dragging him to the ground. He looked up from his knees, somehow through the smoke he saw an image. The face of the figure, a pained smile and light blue eyes, splashed across a pale face with narrow features and ears that ended in a fine point. The male's face hung suspended in the black sky, flames erupting behind him. His dirty blonde hair hung over the side of his face. Mesmerized, the boy on the ground's heart skipped a beat as a huge horse leapt over him, bursting through the smoke the face was depicted upon. It vanished into the night air, and the man on the horse turned slowly towards him. On it's back, sat a tall dark knight with glinting red eyes, and a twisted smile. Horror flooded through his mind, and the pain from the flames licking at his redhot skin crashed upon him suddenly. The man drew a large two handed sword from its sheath at his side, and held it by his neck. That moment, the boy realized he was going to die. He raised his eyes slowly to meet his enemies. An unknown power began to grow inside of him and he stood slowly. The point of Ganondorf's blade resting between his collar bones. As he reached his full height, he continued to grow taller, until he stood face to face at the dark man's level. As their eyes met once again, and the boy looked deeply into them, he saw his own blue reflected, and before he knew what was going on the flames were extinguished by a crashing wave of blue and white water, that swept Ganondorf and his horse into the abyss. As everything around him was dragged away, he prepared himself to fight this force. When nothing happened, he realized the water was warm. It carried him nowhere. Relaxing his muscles, he looked forward and again saw the hooded figure of the man with the blue eyes. This time, he raced forward, running as if he was on dry land. The nearer he got, the further it seemed to be, until their eyes met and everything went black.

Link sat bolt upright in his bed. Drenched in a cold sweat, and panting heavily. He rubbed his eyes, and swung his legs over the edge of the bed, half expecting them to be black from fire ash. It was the fourth night in a row he had seen the blue eyed man in his dream, but it had never went that far. Ganondorf hadn't ventured into his night time world since the last time he had locked him in the Temple of Time nearly ten years ago. He stood and paced around the tree house he lived in. He stepped quietly outside, and sat on the fence that encircled his deck. The black and white dairy cow who sported a Lon Lon Ranch bell necklace was asleep in the hut he'd built for her. She was the only life he could pick out from where he sat. The rest of Kakariko Village was still. Not a single man or woman stirred. Not even a chicken could be spotted. Link pulled a pipe from under the stool on his porch, along with a small bag of tabacco. He sprinkled some inside, and took a deep drag. What the hell could all this mean? Or did it mean nothing, and he was merely going crazy...
