Sonic's Birthday Serenade

Well, Sonic's birthday is here. But don't forget: It's Eggman's birthday, too. So, Sonic sings to the doc. …with hilarious results! This is a one-shot for Sonic and Eggman's birthday, so, don't expect additional chapters or characters anytime soon. And just so you know, I'm not making a profit by putting the birthday song in this fic, it's purely for fun. I suppose you're wondering why I haven't added Shadow and Rouge. (Well, maybe not, but I'll tell you anyway.) Actually, "Sonic Adventure 2" for the Dreamcast came out four days earlier in the U.S., which makes that day Shadow and Rouge's birthday rather than on the same day as Sonic and Eggman. That, and the fact that I only had Sonic and Eggman in mind when I thought of this story. (Better luck next year, Shadow and Rouge.) And like some of my other "Sonic" fics, any anime emotional "enhancements" are in bold. Now that we've got all that sorted out, let's get on with the story! Oh, and happy birthday, Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Robotnik!
Sonic walks up to Dr. Robotnik's latest base holding his acoustic guitar with its strap over his shoulder and calls up to the highest window.
"Hey, Eggman!" he calls out.
The window opens and Dr. Robotnik looks out the window at Sonic in curiosity.
"I've got a birthday serenade for ya!" the hedgehog announces.
He strums a waltz on his guitar and begins to sing:
"Happy Birthday to you!
You belong in a zoo…"
Eggman gasps in shock upon hearing this line. Sonic continues to sing:
"…'cause you look like a monkey and you smell like one, too!"
Sonic dodges an incoming bomb in surprise as he finishes his song, shouting out,"Whoa!"
The bomb hits the ground and lets out a small-scale explosion, leaving a black mark on the ground from said explosion. Sonic looks up at Eggman who angrily lights another bomb.
A red vein sticks out of his forehead.
Eggman calls out to Sonic,"Hold still so that I can give you your birthday present, Sonic!"
He hurls the bomb at Sonic who quickly runs away as he holds his guitar tightly, chuckling.
He tells us, "I do this to him ev'ry year."
"That's all, Folks!"
