Lucy: from the Latin "Lux", meaning "light".

"Light" is a fitting name for the youngest Pevensie child. From the day she was born, Lucy lit up her life and the lives of her family. Lucy does more than bring joy; she is joy.

She is the first to discover Narnia, on that far-off day in the Professer's house. Lucy was always the curious one of the family, and that curiosity serves her well. And as she looks up at the lamp-post, its light is rivalled by the light of wonder in the child's face.

She can always find happiness, even when the whole world is against her. She can bring a smile to the saddest face. And when her siblings are lost in the darkness, Lucy is the light that leads them home.
