A/N: I wrote this because, while looking for fics that outlined J/L's final moments, I couldn't find any. Not one. So, I took it upon myself to write one. Yes, I know this ficlet will probably be contradicted by JK sooner or later, but I just found it too compelling NOT to write.
It is rather short for two reasons:
1) I figure that Lily and James probably did not have time for a three hour discourse before they died. Their conversation was probably terse and frantic. The fic should reflect that.
2) I heard that limiting yourself to a certain number of words while writing a fic challenges your brain. So I limited myself to 100 words. Though I wish now I'd limited myself to 111 words. But that's besides the point.

"Hurry! Take Harry to somewhere safe!"
"But James, what about you?"
"I'll be fine! Just go!"
"No, you won't! Let me stay! I won't be left alone!"
"Lily, you know you'll never be alone. I love you more than anything. Which is why you must go!"
"I can't!"
"Leave! Do it for Harry, if not for yourself!"
"James, I--"
"Go! He's almost here!"
"James, stay safe!"
"I love you Lily! Forever! No matter what happens, know that! Now go!"
"I love you James!"
Two green lights flash.
A baby cries.
