Summary: Daniel and Janet spend a quiet Christmas day with their daughter.

Disclaimer: Dan and Jan aren't mine. If they were she'd still be here and this little drabble would be real.

Dedication: To Meg at the Dan Jan Yahoo group who wanted some new fic.

Hanna Jane's first Christmas had been a blast for Daniel and Janet. She wasn't really old enough to understand or appreciate the holiday, but her little eyes got as big as saucers with every gift that was opened. They would have to remember later to 'thank' Jack for all the toys he'd bought. Every single one made at least three different noises.

"Do you think we went overboard with presents this year?" Daniel asked knowing in his heart that they really hadn't. When he thought back to his years in the foster care system he couldn't help but throw one more gift into the cart, as they had shopped for Hanna's presents.

"No, I just don't know where we are going to put all the toys. All things considered I think Cassie spent more on her then we did." Janet said laughing as Hanna popped her head out of the box that the rocking horse came in. A light snow had just started to fall, and there was Christmas music on the radio. Daniel quickly grabbed coats and gloves, so they could get some pictures of Hanna 'playing' in the snow. In his mind Daniel smiled at the rightness of it all.

A/N: I guess you could consider this story a follow-up to Good Night, which can be found at It's only important in that it introduces Hanna.
