As the moon hit the ground, a wall of fire spread across the land....

And each person looked back on his or her memories...

And so the Gorons looked back on their lives...

None would no spring. They would die in a frozen wasteland. Never knowing the warmth of the summer, the breeze of the spring. Just a frozen, desolate place...

And the Zora looked back on their lives...

With warmth spreading over their lands, they would die in total ignorance; without the knowledge of the evil that had wanted to destroy them, the giant monster that was under the sea, without even knowing that their beloved singer and guitar player were mute and dead, respectively.

And the people who lived in Clock Town looked back on their lives...

Jim and the Bombers Gang felt shame. They had dedicated their lives to protecting Clock Town, but instead, had failed miserably.

Mayor Dotour knew he had failed his people...

And the people in Termina Field looked back on their lives...

Cremia wept for her sister, who would never know life and the glory it held.

Romani was afraid...she knew something was troubling her sister, and she knew that it was horrible...

And those of the forest, the Deku, looked back on their lives...

The King would never see his daughter agian. His precious daughter.

The princess would never be able to live her life. She would be burned, and would never get to see anyone agian. She'd die in a prison of vines.

And two people...a man and a woman...

They would never get to truly share their love. Ever.

The boy known as Kafei...the boy once a man...would never bring Sakon to justice, would never see his beloved again, would never be a man agian...never.

And a boy...a...Skull Kid...watched in horror as the final effects of what he'd done came in to view. He had been possesed, and had caused the moon to fall, caused this wall of fire to come and destroy all of Termina. He cried at the evil he had done.

And two faires, a boy and girl, know at Tael and Tatl, let the tears fall down their faces. They would never see their sibling ever again. Tael wept next to his companion, Skull Kid, and Tatl wept next to her companion...

~*And we can have forever.

The boy was called Link. He watched as the fire sped towards him. He felt anger, fear, and saddness. He was angry that, after all he had done, the goddesses of Hyrule and Termina would let him die like this. He felt fear for his death. And he felt saddness for what he would never know.

He would never know love...life...he would die, with only a glimpse of adulthood...with time...

He would die, alienated and away from everything he held dear...his home, his friends, his life...

And he would die...and even though time was on his side...
