Hey guys, this is a poem I wrote randomly. It takes a bit to get going but the end gets to the point, trust me. Please read and review. This is my first time with a poem on FanFic, and I've never written great poems, but I thought you'd like to read it.
If I Was
If I was a liar,
I'd have a few more friends,
If I was popular,
I'd start a few more trends,
If I was faster,
I'd save the world each day,
If I was happier,
I'd find a brand new way,
But not any of these things,
And I know I'll never be.
If I was smarter,
I'd save the world from death,
If I was stronger,
I'd never breathe a last breath,
If I was older,
I'd give wisdom with my words,
If I was different,
I'd make friends with birds,
But I'm not any of these,
And I know I'll never be.
If I was there,
Maybe you wouldn't have gone away,
If I was quicker,
Maybe I'd hear you say,
If I was less emotional,
I wouldn't feel the pain,
If I was selfish,
I wouldn't have taken you to the train,
But I hope I'm not alone,
Even if I'll always be.
If I was brighter,
I'd have seen dad was gone,
If I wasn't so afraid,
I'd still be alone,
If I wasn't your brother,
I'd have come and got you before,
If I had a life,
I'd value my happiness more,
But when I broke into your house,
I saw it's where you want to be.
If I was better,
We might have saved Jess,
If I knew you threw out my letters,
I'd have written less,
If I knew what happened to your birthday card,
I'd have kept it for myself,
If I didn't care,
I'd rip you photo from my shelf,
But I don't blame you,
I'm a failure and I'll always be.
If I was an idiot,
I think you and dad still love me,
If I wasn't guilty,
I wouldn't have to say sorry for the way it has to be,
But even if you hate me,
By your side I'll always be,
I love you little brother,
And that's how it'll always be.
