Sight
"How many fingers am I holding up?"
Cloudy blue eyes dart around the room, looking for something; anything other than darkness. But black is the only color they see.
With a sharp breath, Peter shakes his head. Raivis sighs before reluctantly resting his hand at his side.
If only... If only what had happened... Hadn't. But, there was nothing they could do about it now; they could only live with the consequences.
Peter was blind, and it was all Raivis' fault.
Rose petal lips open, only for the bottom lip to be bit by a set of teeth. A young voice tainted with fear broke the uncomfortable silence between the two, "R-Raivis?" The boy in question brought his full attention to Peter, who gulped apprehensively before continuing, "c-can... Can I..."
"Yes?" Raivis encouraged the other, desperation evident in his tone.
Peter continued, "Can I... See you?" Silence envelopes the room, where the Latvian boy puffed out another honey-scented breath.
"W-what?" Raivis awkwardly adjusted his shirt collar as his violet eyes shifted back and forth. Can he... See him?
"I," The Sealandic boy hesitated before continuing, "I want to touch your face. To see you."
An unseen nod, then a shaky, "Ok," before Raivis softly took Peter's hand and placed it on his face. Peter's eyes widened in blind wonder as he brought his other hand up to meet the first. He began to trace the elder's face.
Surprisingly sharp cheekbones, clear and smooth skin, a small nose bridge, and soft lips. Slowly he got a mental image.
But it was all in vain. The violet orbs that had always entranced the Sealander were forever gone to him; those eyes would never be his to hold ever again.
But, Peter still had those lips. He felt the wheat-colored hair on his palms as he slowly pulled the Latvian boy's face closer and closer until he could feel Raivis' honey breath warming his ever-reddening cheeks.
He stopped. Should he step into this dark and scary realm of unknown, what he was already trapped in for the rest of his life? Was it worth it, just to see that picture of the one he loved?
It was as if Raivis had read his mind. The older boy closed the space between them, meeting in the middle. Color burst into Peter's vision as two lips met and moved against each other.
For one moment that seemed to last much longer, Peter had his sight back. He saw tinted cheeks, a small smile, and watery amethyst eyes staring back at him. And he knew it was worth it, to taste the flavor, the color, the Raivis Galantes.
A/N: Well, this was a drabbly bit of drabble! This was supposed to be better than this, but... Turned out like this. Cause I was thinking about the ever-depressing Hetaoni and how it would be to have blind!Sealand. Then I wrote this out with a Human!AU, and it ended up as this.
Headcannon: Latvia is so sweet and innocent that he smells like honey, the frickin' sweetest stuff I could think of.
Hope you liked it!
Review for APHTAS (Axis Powers: Hetalia the Abridged Series), which would basically be the same as the original...
