Transcript of Councilman Sparrow's official statement regarding the completion of the Mountain Glenn project
When I was but a child I saw my elder sister give up her dream of becoming a huntress. It seemed, at the time, that it was all but hopeless. It seemed that mankind would forever remain prey to the Grimm. For too long, my fellow citizens, man has been confined within the borders of the four kingdoms. For too long, we have hidden within our walls with only a brave few daring to venture outside the safety of the walls.
But today, that changes. Today we say, "no more!" With this historical achievement, we have shown that we can not only defend ourselves, but fight back. Over the coming decades I foresee something beautiful. I see a world that belongs solely to mankind, where people may live their lives without fear. Where we no longer need cower behind the stifling walls. Where the kingdoms may freely communicate with each other. Where our children may grow up learning not just the definition of peace, but what it truly feels like to have peace in their time. This is not only a great victory for us, but for all of mankind as well.
However, we must not grow complacent. Let us see this victory as but a single step on mankind's path to freedom. Together we shall fulfill our destiny of rising above the Grimm. Together, my fellow citizens, we must put aside petty politics and internal conflicts and focus on this achievement as a symbol of the goal that unites us all.
My fellow citizens, may we all remember this day and the coming decades as the beginning of a new era as mankind rises from the ashes. As a new generation, freed from the influence of the Grimm is born into this world.
