This is the tragic story of Lady Myrna O'Ciardha.
Born in the 1500s, she had been the daughter of a muggle and a witch. Her father had been a noble medieval lord and her mother had been a beautiful pureblood witch. Her parents had been wonderful and Myrna had been truly blessed. She went through life with everything she could ever want. She had beauty, wealth, and power. She had even attended the wonderful Hogwart. She had been a good soul and witch. Muggles and wizarding folks alike had loved her because of her beauty and good heart.
That had been the problem for poor Myrna. For a gifted wizard painter by the name of Conner MacLogan had been deeply in love with the fair Myrna. Myrna had been oblivious to his feelings for she didn't even know he existed. MacLogan had been a coward and never got the courage to speak to his ladylove. So he had watched her from afar and drew many drawings of her. He stalked her and loved her from the shadows. He had become obsessed with her and wanted her to be his own. One day he did just that.
In the year of 1523, Myrna had just finished her seventh year at Hogwarts and had been on her way returning home when Conner MacLogan kidnapped her. He had wanted to be the only one to look upon her. So he took her to his workshop and held her captive there. He began to work on his greatest masterpiece⦠a portrait of Myrna that would hold her body and soul on canvas forever. When Myrna hadn't returned her father's castle, her parents knew what it meant. Their daughter had been taken and went to rescue her.
That hadn't worked well with MacLogan's plans at all. He had become a mad man in that time. Even though the search had taken days before producing findings, MacLogan knew time was short and he hadn't finished his masterpiece yet. Myrna's rescuers were on their way and almost at his door when he had dared to entrap Myrna into his unfinished magical painting. It took dangerous and dark magic to enchant people into objects such as paintings. It ended up killing Conner MacLogan, but Myrna had been left trapped within the portrait anyway. The spell had been flawed. Myrna had been left unable to move her body or speak from her lips. All the fair witch had been able to do was move her peacock colored eyes. If it had been casted properly, she would have been able to move and speak freely within the painting.
When her rescuers entered the kidnapper's workshop, they found Conner MacLogan died and had thought Myrna gone forever. They had not known that Myrna was trapped within the portrait. They took the portrait to her parents though and hung in the great hall for all to see and remember. No one ever knew that their beloved Myrna was alive but enslaved to live inside the painting. After the deaths of Myrna's parents, her portrait was sent to Hogwarts. Where it hangs still and where Myrna waits to be freed.

Author's Note: This is my first fan fiction and I know this preface could have been written better. It will no doubt rewritten it later. I will try to make the chapters that follow better than this one. I was going anyway for a tragic fairy tale beginning feeling. If that makes sense. More description of Myrna and her portrait will come in the next chapter. If anyone was wondering.
