Okay, so I was thinking about the scene in Derek's apartment when Boyd is killed, and this is what I think should have happened. It is short, but sweet, so enjoy.

Stiles stood behind Derek, a pillar of strength. Suddenly, Derek spun around and crushed him against his chest. Taking in a deep breath, he howled towards the sky in anguish. Feeling the emotion, Scott joined in, followed by Isaac. Stiles, too felt what was happening and let out a scream

Down outside the loft, Ethan stopped.

"What?"

"Did you really not hear that?"

"I did, but what does it matter?"

"No one's done that before. He really cared about him. I can't believe we actually made him kill him beta."

"Get a hold of yourself, man."

"No, didn't you hear, Stiles cried out too. If we want Derek to be ours, we're going to have to have him kill all of his pack, and that includes Stiles. I can't do this if an innocent human dies." He felt a tear run down his face, which made Kali sniff and walk away. Aiden stepped towards his brother.

"Listen, I know how you feel, but this isn't our business. Let's go."

"No. I'm going back."

"You're the last person they want to see, Ethan."

"I know. I'll see you later. Maybe."

Derek's head snapped up when he smelled Ethan.

"Go away."

"I'm- I came to say I'm sorry. I-" He was cut off by Derek grabbing him and slamming him against the wall. Ethan didn't resist. He just hung there by his neck.

"Why do you say sorry now? You could have just not done it. Then you wouldn't have to be sorry."

"I know." He coughed, and Derek threw him to the floor. "No one's ever – no one's ever howled like that before."

Scott put his hand on Derek's arm to stop him hitting Ethan again. "Really? Never before? There was no remorse?"

Ethan shook his head. "No. My brother and I didn't care. We were Omegas before Deucalion. We didn't know them. But even then, the pack didn't howl for their fallen. We let them have that, but they didn't. I've actually never heard anyone howl in anguish before. But what surprised me the most was to hear your howl, Stiles." Words and tears poured forth from Ethan and he curled himself into a small ball. No one moved to comfort him, but no one moved to attack him, either. After a few minutes, Derek growled.

"Get out." And Ethan did.
