AUTHOR'S NOTE:
So… As some of you might already know, Mike is now engaged to Maryse. Let me tell you one thing. Seeing your OTP being destroyed like 3 years in a row is not cool. It freakin hurts.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own the guys, Mr McMahon does.

It always feels like torture

To be this close

I wish that I was stronger

I'd separate the waves

Not just let the water take me away

The sound of the incoming text woke Kevin up. He took the phone and saw the red "1" opposite the name "Mike".

"Can I come?"

Kiley yawned and looked at the clock on the nightstand. It was nearly 1 a.m.

"Of course" – he typed without a second thought.

OOO

Kevin opened the door.

- Hey.

- Hey.

He then followed Mike into the tiny semblance of a living room in the middle of the empty hotel number. Mizanin sat down on the sofa and Kevin got on the ridiculously blue armchair.

- What's up? – asked Kiley, with a bitter grin in the corner of his mouth.

- I'm getting married – said Mike, the slightest tone of sarcasm audible in his voice.

- I know.

- She's pregnant.

- That's nice, - murmured Kevin, his voice dropping a little traitorously. One more fact pricked the man somewhere under his ribs painfully - Congrats.

- Thanks… - said Mizanin, avoiding eye-contact, rubbing the back of his neck. It seemed to him like Kiley just didn't want to understand what was going on, and it felt pretty awkward.

But, suddenly, Kevin buried his face in his hands, rubbing it slightly, and let out a loud, hoarse sigh, which sounded more like a whine. Especially to Mike. Miz felt like he had to do something, so he got up, came closer and nestled on the armrest awkwardly. He then reached for Kevin and stroked his upper back gently, feeling the bigger man's shoulder's quiver slightly. It was the silent, dry, tearless weep of his.

- Be strong, Kev, - said Mike softly, hiding something under the oh so unwillingly frequent white frost, that seemed to cover his heart sometimes.

Mike leaned in, kissed the top of Kiley's head and squeezed his shoulder slightly. He then got up and simply walked away, leaving Kevin behind.
