Was This Destiny...?
Chapter 1: The Fight
"Rotation!" The shuriken deflected off of the field of chakra. "You're attempts are pointless... Why must you continuously try to defy your destiny when time and time again... you fail?"
"Neji, you speak of me as a destined failure... but both of us know the gap between us is thinning... And that one day... I will defeat you! Now bring on your best!" On that, Lee threw a single shuriken.
Without effort Neji avoided and caught the shuriken. "Fine, if you will not accept your destiny then I will fight."
Both, Neji and Lee, pulling a kunai out of their holsters, charge at each other full speed. As the two knives clash, the thunder roars and the rain falls mercilessly. Hit after hit, they are evenly matched. Neji, uneased by Lee's heightened speed, activates the Byakugan hoping to ensure victory.
"Byakugan!"
"Finally. I wanted your best, and now this is it." Lee swiftly removes his ankle weights. Now at his true speed, Lee races toward Neji.
Neji, thinking to himself, "How could he have become so fast? There's no way! I can't keep up with him!"
Before the thought was ended, Lee appeared extremely close to Neji. With his arms unwrapped and Neji off-guard, he executes the Primary Lotus and kicks him into the air. As Lee gets a hold of Neji and they plummet towards the ground, Neji fears that if he doesn't do something fast, this may be the end.
The instant before impact, Neji exerts chakra from every chakra point in his body to not only avoid injury but also give him a chance to attack.
Lee, thinking he has won, doesn't realize he is in the zone of Neji's 8-tragrams.
As the dust begins to clear, Lee can make out a vague silhouette coming towards him.
"Eight Trigrams: Two Palms!" The attack begins.
"Four Palms!" Lee's heart races
"Eight Palms!" Neji grins.
"Sixteen Palms!" Lee wails in pain.
"Thirty Two Palms!" Blood spews from Lees mouth.
"Sixty Four Palms!" Neji loses his grin.
"Eight Trigrams: One Hundred Twenty Eight Palms!" Neji has gone too far.
And with one final, powerful blow, Neji strikes Lee in the chest sending him flying through the air.
Lee falls to the ground. His body goes limp...
