WARNING: This fic may or may not depict a loving relationship between two women. Read on to find out.
Disclaimer: Don't own them. If I did, Janeway would have kept the butch cut she had in 'Living Witness', along with the screw-everyone-else attitude that went hand in hand with that.
Author's Note: My first ever explicitly J/7 fic. Because with the week I've had, it was bound to happen. I've actually been in a very slash-fic mood the past several days, and I'm going to say that is why I am now writing this. Yes, it's only small, but I promise that there will be more from me concerning the relationship between this particular 6ft of tall, leggy, voluptuous, intelligent, blonde and petite, fiery, elegant, gutsy, beautiful and equally intelligent red head.
To those who are annoyed I'm not writing J/C fic: Don't read this. You won't like it if you hate Seven as much as some of you say you do. I actually quite like her. In my opinion, she was Janeway's equal in ways that Chuckles couldn't be. And anyone who didn't see the chemistry between these two ladies needs to have their eyes tested.
Dedications: Oystercatcher1. You needed cheese. Here is cheese. In all its sappy glory, and it's written for you.
Enjoy. :)
You once told me that One voice,
One human,
Was stronger than a thousand voices,
A thousand drones.
You were in error.
My voice is not louder than a thousand voices.
A single cry of mine cannot compete with that of a chorus.
A solitary voice should not be able to do that.
Unless it is yours.
Your cry would reach me regardless of any external factor. Always.
One night you came to me.
The mentor sought out the student for advice.
You said you had lost your way.
That you were lost and only I could guide you back.
You needed me.
Just like I have needed you, and will always continue to.
I guided you back, just as you have done for me.
As you continue to do.
Each and every day.
You thanked me.
Just as I have thanked you.
But then you kissed me.
You told me you loved me.
I knew, in that One instant that you had been wrong.
I knew that my One voice could never overcome the chorus of a thousand.
But I endeavour to be strong in spite of that.
Each and every day. With you.
One voice cannot compete against a thousand voices.
But Two can.
Please Review. :)
