"What do you give a person that has everything?" The youngest Kaiba pondered to himself while sitting on his bedroom floor questioning on what to give as his brother's Christmas gift. Snow was slowly slipping to the ground, and like little fairies, they would each land on his windowsill and examine him before disappearing. They were small and delicate, and each, in it's own way, beautiful. Mokuba's eyes twinkled like a little child, opening a gift. "What do you give a person who has everything...?" He repeated, hoping somehow the question would answer itself.
It really didn't.
Kaiba—as normal-- was sitting down in the large, what would be called a living room. (Keep in mind the room was so big and dimly lit it looked more like a creepy old dungeon.) The fireplace was already lit and a stream of light filled the room. The heat that filled it was absolutely perfect for the cold weather. It made the atmosphere more comfortable to be in.
"Big brother…?" his Mokuba softly, and rather timedly. "What?" he asked, trying not to seem to mean but the child jumped anywaysl. Seto sighed and closed his laptop, watching his brother come closer. "Come here…." Seto said smiling warmly. Mokuba had his hands behind his back and was looking down timedly.
Seto beckoned his brother closer. Mokuba held out his hands finally, and had a little, obviously self wrapped gift. The imperfection make Mokuba seem oddly cuter than before. He accepted the small box with another rare grin.
Kaiba stared at the package a long time before He looked up at Mokuba. "Is this...for me?" he asked, looking hard at his brother. He never got gifts for Christmas. Every other yea he'd told his brother not to get him a thing, and he would give Mokuba everything. He neglected to see his brothers want each year, he assumed. Mokuba. But in the present, Seto stared at the gift again, finally taking it in his hands.
He pulled his brother into his arms and lifted the small form onto his lap. Mokuba finally relaxed a bit and rested on his brother's warm arms. Seto Finally began the process of unwrapping the frail packaging. Mokuba just watched contently from his brother's hug.
Seto set the paper aside and stared at a picture frame. "Mokuba-san..." he muttered. Kaiba leaned up and hugged him close. Mokuba had a good view of the picture frame, holding the first picture at the orphanage of Seto and Mokuba playing chess, the same one in there lockets. And overlapping the top of a corner, the drawing of the blue eyes card.
Seto sat in awe. Hadn't he lost those? Or had least put them away…? He thought maybe he had tossed it out or a servant had thrown it away. But for a moment, Seto's heart leapt. His brother…this meant sometime to him. It meant something to Mokuba and Seto.
Seto held his brother tighter for a moment still, and finally whispered into Mokuba's ear, 'I Love you…' with his chin rested on his brother's shoulder. Mokuba smiled back at his brother. "Ga sukida, Seto-Sama."
((A/N: Ga sukida means I love you))
