Grey Snow

Another meaningless day. The world seemed so dull now that Zim was gone. Though he was happy the Earth wasn't in danger anymore, he still had enjoyed their battles. Now life felt empty inside. He felt empty inside. Before, he would have gone to edge of the earth and back to defeat Zim and be the Earth's hero and savior; now he would do that to get those days back. He had always hated Zim, but now he hated Zim for dying. He put on his trench-coat and boots, and walked out the door. Every thing was covered by a thick layer of white. It was the middle of winter; January 12th to be exact. It had been precisely a year since Zim had died. You could see nothing but nothing; no animals stirred, no leaves rustled, time itself seemed to be frozen in place. His entire body was numb with the cold. Even the snow looked a dull grey.

He continued to walk, but the scenery did not change. What seemed like hours passed but he made no progress. He hadn't even care about what was happening till he looked at the ground and saw that he was two inches away from the edge of what seemed like a crystal cliff. Wondering how the heck he got there, he looked up and saw a much unexpected sight. An almost transparent more of his arch nemesis was staring at him. His expression showed nothing short of malice, but Dib could read it like a book. He saw more then loathing he saw a desire, no; obsession for revenge. Zim's gaze hardened and Dib felt the ground under him starting to crack. They looked at each other for solemn moment. As the ice underneath him gave way, he felt a sort of ironic relief coming over him; their one last battle. The ground disappeared and he was speeding down to a nonexistent ground. He looked up and saw Zim looking down at him; a sort of regret showing on his face. He sort of shook his head; then Dib awoke with the cold piercing his face. He jumped up and saw his imprint left showing in the grey snow. He showed an expression of bewilderment, and then continued on his way; knowing that something extraordinary had just taken place.
