Looking up the cream and white tom skitted to a halt. They were coming, and they were coming fast at that. He tipped his head at the sky seeing the water was approching, if he'd time this right... Thats when the two cats bursted out of the bushes like a pack of hungry dogs.
"Hazeleyes! We finally caught you...And for your crimes, you shall be punished by the most brutal consequence. You shall be executed." Growled a white she-cat. She flicked her tail and the other cat and he unsheathed his claws.
"Pin him." She ordered coldly.
Giving a brief nod to the she-cat the scruffy golden tom with very large ears pounced on him, and Hazeleyes didn't bother to dodge.
"It's been awhile Mouse-ear. Mom would have been proud at the loyal warrior you've become." He smirked slyly.
"Don't talk about Mom! It didn't have to be like this Hazeleyes... We could have been warriors, Together. You were so close...So strong...But you abused your power. Fawnspots hasn't been the same since you left. I thoug-" He was cut off by Hazeleyes slashing him across the face.
"Don't pitty me! I've made my choices, with no regret...And I got my revenge..." He growled.
"Huh?" Obviously lost the water at the top of the ridge poured down engulfing everything in water.
Hazeleyes was forced down, his back hitting on a rough stone, he yowled at the sensation on his back, though as he did water flooded in his mouth causing him to choke and sputter. His vision blurred around him, on and off. He tried to steady his focus, though by now he already knew his fate. He was going to die here, yes. But he also got to kill that Fox dung leader Rushingstar. She definately got a rush.. His body floated limply with the water, and he glanced over seeing a familar shadow.
"Miss me?" Smirked a foggy cat.
Just as I predicted...I'll hang on for awhile longer though... He began kicking again breaking to the surface of the furious new stream that was carving its way down the mountain. He coughed forcing water out of his throat before he slipped under again. He felt tired but he knew he had to make sure... Kicking up again with the last drop of his leaking energy he broke the surface one more time. He saw nothing obove the water, no cats were visable. Perfect...It's sad that Mouse-ear had to go too, but he got in my way too much anyway... He felt a pang of regret though he forced it away. His friend returned.
"Done yet? I want to go ahead and take you back, to our santuary.." He asked giving a lazy expression.
"I...Guess so." Hazeleyes wheezed. The cat nodded, and unsheathed it's long claws. "I will show you this move now, one of my favorites.." His eyes glittered and he reared up his paw bringing it on both sides of Hazeleyes. He drew back, pulling clumps of skin and blood with him. Hazeleyes screamed but it was muted by the water. Blood darkened the stream making a crimson cloud withen the clear liquid. Hazeleyes shuddered, though he smirked, then his smirk turned into a smile, before breaking out into a full laugh. Any breath he had left, any life that seemed to remain, had leaked away from this point, and he was taken.
Hazeleyes opened his eyes with a confused expression. Where he awoke was a place that felt too familar. He sat up and saw the long claw marks down his sides, they were bloody, a mess. He still felt cold and tired, though even if he tried to lick his fur, it would never dry, and his wounds would never heal. Hazeleyes was here... The Dark forest. And now, his revenge truely would come...
